Plot[]
Part One: As the Little Big Shotz car wash is tidied up, Sam makes plans to see Roy. Dee-Dee wants to know if Joel has dropped Nathan as a client yet. Carla calls on Roy who is assiduously cleaning the cafe. He is distant with her. Daniel points out to Bethany that if the evidence of the strand of hair fails, there needs to be a back-up. Bethany has been wondering herself if Nicky could put them in touch with Ellie Benton again to identify Nathan, now knowing he's back in jail and now can't harm her. Joel visits Nathan and advises him that with all the other evidence against him, the complaint that Sarah planted the hair won't stand. Nathan angrily refuses Joel's advice that he pleads guilty to murder, insisting he's innocent. Lisa tells Roy all the charges against him have been dropped, including the one involving Alice McDowd. He won't press charges against Griff. She can see that he's struggling and advises him to lean on Carla, saying she only ever had his best interests at heart. Daniel and Bethany beg for Nicky's help. Roy goes to see Carla, admitting that he can see why his peculiarities didn't help him. She realises he's forgiven her. Ellie agrees to see Bethany alone.
Part Two: Bethany calls on a scared Ellie and successfully pleads with her to tell her everything. Nina brings Sam into the cafe. He's hurt when Roy tells him he should spend time with someone his own age. Ellie tells Bethany that her client threatened to kill her and identities Nathan from a photo. She refuses to testify against him in court. Bethany leaves and Joel emerges from a back room, pleased with how Elle performed and rewards the terrified girl with cash. However, he doesn't like the way that Bethany is interfering. Nina grows nervous at the way prison seems to have changed her uncle. Carla thanks Lisa for reconciling her and Roy and is told they're not taking any action against Bobby. Carla offers Lisa’s daughter some work experience at Underworld. There is a spark between them. In the Rovers, Joel overhears Bethany saying she's not going to drop investigating Lauren. Back at the corner shop flat, he looks at a photo of Bethany on the Gazette website and considers his next move.
