Plot[]
Part One: As Bethany mulls over who Nathan’s attacker might be, Shona quizzes David about the red stain on his jeans, not convinced by his story. She insists on looking over his phone. As Leanne leaves for the retreat, Toyah begs her to reconsider, but her sister refuses. Simon’s hurt to find she’s gone without saying goodbye. Max shows Kevin and Abi the mock-up of the new garage website and explains that if they want him to go ahead it will cost £1,000. Kevin refuses to pay out and tells him to do one. Lynsey Boulter rings Abi from Australia to say they're bringing Charlie and Lexi over in three weeks. Tim reveals that Demi is an estate agent in Hale Barns. Sally’s in awe and immediately lifts the friendship ban between him and Steve. Bernie is afraid of further harassment from Kit which might lead to the twins asking awkward questions. Nick tells Simon off for drinking on his break and he sulks off to the Rovers instead. Daniel shouts at Bethany when she won't take his word that he didn't assault Nathan. David assures Sarah he’s innocent, but they’re interrupted by Shona brandishing the tracking app on David’s phone which proves he was at the building site when Nathan was attacked.
Part Two: Sally runs over when Steve and Demi return from indoor skydiving in her Mercedes, determined to meet her. She’s thrilled when Steve invites her and Tim to join them for dinner at No.1. David admits he went to the site to vandalise Nathan's van with red paint, but he then witnessed the attack. Kit approaches Bernie and apologises to her, but he makes it clear he knows about her criminal record. She shoots off when she sees Paul and Gemma coming out of the flat. Simon's bunked off work and is drunk. He's rude to Tim when he asks for a cab ride. Bernie denies knowing Kit when the twins ask her who she was talking to. The factory sale goes through. Daniel asks Gary to have a word with Bethany and convince her that he wasn't the attacker. Steve uploads pictures to his socials of him and Demi skydiving, trying to annoy Tracy. As Kevin scans the County chat forum on Jack’s laptop, something catches his eye leaving him rattled. Tim complains to Nick that Simon's thrown up in his cab and run off without paying. Sarah confronts Gary in front of Bethany, accusing him of being Nathan's attacker.
Part Three: Gary admits the charge, refusing to feel guilty. Bethany is furious that he's prevented Nathan being in custody and threatens to tell the police. Nick and Toyah head for the snooker hall that Simon was making for. Kevin shows Sally an online article saying that Corey Brent is going to be in a documentary about a prison football team and he's worried about Abi's reaction. Sarah calms Bethany down and tells Gary she can't understand why he got involved, but she is touched that he still cares. She can think of a way of getting rid of Nathan once and for all. Bernie and Gemma are taken aback when Paul tells them he's having his last meal before having his feeding tube fitted tomorrow. Bernie sees that Gemma has been searching online for Christopher Green. Bethany apologises to Daniel. Sally is in her element at Steve's little soiree as she tries to impress an amused Demi. Demi sees that Steve has sneaked a picture of her and Sally chatting. Simon can't be found. Abi can't understand why Kevin is in a sudden mood. Sarah visits Nathan in hospital.
Part Four: Sarah offers Nathan £2,000 to drop the matter with the police and leave Weatherfield. He demands £10,000, and although he's already told the police he didn't see anything, he threatens to change his mind. Demi is put out to see Steve on his socials at the dinner table and makes her excuses to leave. Kit calls in the Rovers and meets Gemma. He hears about Paul's MND and hears that they're two years older than him. Bernie's perturbed when she sees them talking. Nick and Toyah find Simon passed out at the precinct with two lads trying to pinch his wallet. They run off. Gary offers to pay the money Nathan demands but stipulates that Maria mustn't know. Daniel is puzzled when the police drop the case as Nathan's remembered getting into a fight with a mate. Simon is brought home. Nick tries to contact Rowan to get a message through to Leanne. He feels frustrated that Rowan's come between them. A suspicious Bethany finds out from Sarah that she's paying Nathan and realises Gary's paying the money. She accuses her mother of trying to get another woman's husband and Sarah slaps her. She breaks down as Bethany walks out.
