Plot[]
Part One: Steve is unhappy to see pictures on Tracy’s socials of her paragliding over the Med with Tommy. Bernie tells Dev that there’s one more Christopher Green on her list and she’s going to pay him a visit. Sarah advises Bethany to leave well alone where Nathan is concerned. Leanne explains to Simon that she met a guy called Jared at the Institute who’d be happy to help him set up his food delivery app. Toyah listens on, worried. Craig tells Bethany that Nathan was with his girlfriend when Lauren disappeared, and she works at a nail bar in town, Bethany points out that Nathan was running a tanning salon when he groomed her. A downcast Kevin admits to Debbie that work has dried up at the garage. She tells him to be proactive and set up a website. Gary goes over the contract for the sale of the factory to Carla. Sarah confides in him that she’s worried about Bethany as she’s become fixated. Simon reveals that Jared’s agreed to meet him and he’ll need to borrow some money. Leanne’s delighted, but Toyah reckons it’s another scam. She sneaks Leanne's laptop into her bag. Bethany returns from seeing Nathan's girlfriend. As she and Daniel head down Victoria Street, they’re shocked to see Nathan who rails at Bethany for harassing his girlfriend. When Gary and Daniel rush at him, he drives off in his van.
Part Two: Having found out that the last Christopher Green has died, Bernie knocks back the drink, fearing she’s missed the chance to find her son. David, Sarah and Gary discuss Nathan and agree that something has to be done before he ruins Bethany’s life all over again. Bethany tells Daniel how she's finding it hard to cope with Nathan around. Toyah studies Rowan’s page and copies a number into her phone. She tells Nick she's determined to prove the Institute is a scam. Tim feels sorry for a depressed Steve. Sarah tells David she can't cope with the upset Bethany is going through. He suddenly leaves her flat. A drunken Bernie bumps into Kit Green on Victoria Street and, revealing that he's a policeman, he arrests her for being drunk and disorderly when she becomes abusive. Toyah meets with Rowan’s ex-wife, Una Cunliffe and explains how her sister has become embroiled in the Institute and she’s worried she might be in danger. On the building site, a hooded figure approaches Nathan and attacks him.
Part Three: As David returns home, Craig rings Bethany with the news of the attack on Nathan. David's not concerned. Una tells Toyah she has nothing to fear from Rowan and she still respects her husband. DS Swain isn't pleased when Kit brings Bernie into the station and tells him off for not being focussed on the case she gave him. Bernie is released. Tim seeks out Demi Mansfield and talks up Steve's good points. A worried Bethany tells Ryan that the police want to interview Daniel about the attack on Nathan and he lets slip that Daniel did the same to Justin Rutherford. Debbie gets Max to produce a website for a sceptical Kevin. Rowan turns up the bistro, wanting to see Toyah. Bethany confronts Daniel about being violent and he demands to know who's been talking about him.
Part Four: Daniel storms into the Rovers and goes for Ryan as the police walk in. Toyah demands to know from Rowan who the ex was who posted comments about him that she saw and which he's deleted. He tells her that it was a girlfriend from years ago. Leanne is livid about the way her sister is interfering. Sarah sees a red stain on David's jeans and asks him if he attacked Nathan. Without saying anything about what he's done, Tim finds out from Steve that Demi has been messaging him all afternoon. Swain interviews Daniel about the attack on Nathan. Nick tells Toyah she's pushing her sister away. They are unhappy when they hear from Leanne that she's going away on a two-week retreat and won't be contactable. Daniel is released. Unhappy that he might be showing violent tendencies, Bethany tells him she needs some space from him.
