Plot[]

Part One: Maria and Gary do their best to bolster Liam's confidence as they prepare for court. Dylan scuttles out of the hotel with his rucksack first thing. Roy apologises to the cafe staff for all they've had to put up with lately and says he'll understand if they want to leave his employ. They tell him they're not going anywhere. Daisy arrives for work, convinced Carla can't fire her as her name is on the deeds. Jenny tells her to sling her hook. Violet tells Sean that Dylan has gone missing. Sam's keen to pay Roy a visit and offer his support but Nick doesn't think it's a good idea. Ed gets a letter from the insurance company and is pleasantly surprised by how much they're paying out. Gary leaves Liam at the bistro to help Violet and Sean find Dylan. Alya mentions seeing him with a lad yesterday. Liam bumps into Dylan as he heads home. Dylan says he isn't testifying as Mason's brothers would kill him. He encourages Liam to do a bunk as well. They're seen together by Kirk.

Part Two: Daisy calls on Ryan and tells him that she can't bear to lose him on top of everything else. Appalled by her recent behaviour, Ryan orders her to leave. Gary panics as he discovers Liam is also missing. Ed tells Dee-Dee and Michael that he intends to spend his insurance money on a new set of tools as he can't work without them. His children reckon he'd be better off using the money to pay off a chunk of his debt. Violet calls the police over Dylan's disappearance. Liam tells Dylan that they need to put Mason away once and for all. Toyah finds Leanne watching one of Rowan's motivational videos. Whilst Leanne enthuses about the benefits of his teachings, Toyah remains sceptical. Lying to Shona that he's going round to see Hope, Sam calls at the cafe and suggests to Roy that they have a game of chess. Roy agrees when Sam makes out that Nick has given his blessing. Daisy feels even worse when Daniel assures her that he knows she would never have stolen Carla's money. Kirk reports his sighting to Maria just as the lads show up at the flat, having decided to face the music.

Part Three: Daisy confesses to Daniel that she did nick the factory money. He's flabbergasted and thinks less of her. Conch accosts Dylan as he's preparing to set off for court. He threatens to stab him unless he says Mason didn't have a knife. Ed overhears Michael and Dee-Dee discussing how they're going to make him see sense over the insurance payout. Toyah finds out from Simon that the Altovalent Institute charges its clients. She worries that Leanne is being scammed. A pre-recorded witness statement from Liam is played to the court, with the lad cross-examined from a side room afterwards. Liam recounts how Mason threatened him with a knife in Victoria Street on 22nd November. He testifies that Mason got Dylan to hide the knife afterwards but the defence barrister makes him admit that he didn't see it happen. Roy notices that Sam is rejecting calls on his phone. Sam admits that Nick doesn't know he's there. Roy insists that he must leave. Dylan gives his evidence. Asked if he saw the knife Liam mentioned, he unexpectedly responds that he didn't.

Part Four: The court reels as Dylan insists that there was no knife. He's reminded that he's under oath and asked the question again. Glancing over at a disapproving Sean, the lad summons up the courage to tell the court that Mason did have the knife. Jenny arranges to transfer what's left of Stephen's money to Carla. Daisy returns the expensive gear she purchased and gives the cash to Carla, adding that she doesn't expect anything in return. Roy makes sure that Nick knows about Sam's deceit. Nick puts the blame squarely on Roy, pointing out that he's giving his detractors ammunition by hanging around a twelve-year-old boy. Mason is found guilty of threatening Liam with a knife. The sentencing is adjourned for a week but the Judge states that it'll be a custodial sentence as it's his second knife-related offence. Liam and Dylan's camps celebrate. Ed tells his children that he's decided to use the insurance money to make a dent in his debts after all. Ryan's convinced that Daisy is genuinely contrite and tells her he still wants her. Gary's surprised when Maria continues to sleep in Liam's room.
