Plot[]
Part One: The Rovers prepares for another karaoke night. Jenny is angry when designer bags that Daisy ordered for both her and Christina arrive. Daisy tries to calm her nerves, saying that Bethany blew her chance to make them sweat. Sean is delighted as Violet and Dylan call at No.11, but Violet makes it clear that it’s not a social visit, they’re staying at the Chariot Square, and they have only called in to pick up Dylan’s smart shoes for the court hearing. In the cafe, Jenny masks her panic as Carla makes subtle digs about Bethany’s accusations. Bernie’s phone pings and she’s horrified to see that someone has posted Lauren’s mum’s contact details online. Roy is appalled as he studies the post. Michael shows Dee-Dee a final demand which came through the post for Ed and Dee-Dee is shocked to realise how much her dad still owes. A stressed Jenny tells Daisy they need to find a way to pay the money back to Carla without her finding out, but Daisy reckons they should just keep quiet. Against Evelyn’s better judgement, Roy calls Lauren’s mum, Kerry, and leaves a message offering his sympathy. As Violet and Dylan eat in the bistro, Bella, a girl from Dylan’s old class approaches and invites him to join her later for an ice cream in the precinct. Violet agrees he can go. Behind their backs, Bella rings Mason and tells her that Dylan is on his way.
Part Two: A cafe customer makes jibes at Roy and as Bernie and David leap to his defence, Roy’s sickened to realise the trouble he’s brought into his friends’ lives. With the karaoke night in full flow, Sally admires Daisy’s new designer bag and as Jenny berates her for flaunting her wealth. Daisy is livid. Ed returns from Birmingham and breaks the news to Michael that Aggie has given him his marching orders and won’t be returning. Michael hides the final demand letter out of sight. With tensions high, Daisy sings Fighter, making sure that Jenny knows the lyrics are directed at her, and just as Carla enters. Stepmother and stepdaughter argue, failing to realise their words can be heard over the microphone. As Ryan steps in to calm the situation, Carla clocks the atmosphere. Dylan meets Bella, just before Mason and his gang turn up. David sees that the salon books are missing money from yesterday and finds out that the bridal party got their services for free. Maria bursts into tears as he shouts about the loss and Audrey sends her grandson out so she can comfort her. Alya sees Mason with Dylan. Mason orders him to change his statement or he and his two brothers will be coming for him and Sean. Bella is shocked at his threats. Carla finds a visibly upset Jenny in Victoria Gardens and when Carla quizzes her about Bethany’s suspicions over Stephen’s money, Jenny crumples and admits that they took it.
Part Three: Carla rages at Jenny who tries to assure her she’ll pay the money back. Carla storms over to the Rovers with Jenny in pursuit. A sobbing Maria tells Audrey about Liam’s suicidal thoughts and is shocked when her employer tells her she also tried to take her life two years before. Debbie tries to keep the karaoke night going as Carla storms in, loudly ordering Daisy into the back room. Jenny and Ryan also join them, and Ryan hears that the story about the theft was true. Jenny tries to tell Carla that they will pay the money back with interest, but Carla works out that it will take them forty years at the proffered rate. She sets off for the police station. Bella apologises to Dylan as she genuinely thought Mason was only interested in making peace with him. Dee-Dee is shocked by Aggie’s declaration. She demands Ed is told about the final demand. Ryan waits with Carla at the station. He tries to talk her out of making a complaint but she’s confident that their crime will send Jenny and Daisy to prison.
Part Four: Sean tries to assure Dylan that everything will come good after tomorrow. An unwitting Maria also adds to his pressure by telling him how much they’re relying on him. Ryan tells Carla how much Daisy means to him, and she gives in to his entreaties not to make a complaint. Roy intends to stay in the cafe flat and avoid his abusers. Evelyn is afraid that he will become a recluse. Carla and Ryan return to the Rovers and Carla tells Jenny that she is effectively now the owner of the pub. She sacks Daisy on the spot and tells Jenny she’s only hanging on by a thread. Dylan wants to swerve his court appearance but Violet refuses to let him as she wants him to be seen as a victim of Mason too. Carla makes it clear to Jenny that she doesn’t trust her and will be watching every penny from now onwards. Ed is shown the letter and can pay £750 of the sum owed now. Dee-Dee pushes him to sort out a repayment plan and she and Michael offer him their full support. Ryan can’t believe how dismissive Daisy is about her actions and accuses her of not accepting her guilt. Jenny and Daisy accuse each other of being the cause of all their troubles.
