Plot[]

Part One: Steve realises how caught in the middle Amy feels between him and Tracy. He reads the letter from Tommy and pockets it. Linda collects Joseph to take him for his Oakhill School uniform fitting but to Gemma’s dismay, Chesney insists that he’ll pay for it. She rages at him as they can’t afford it. As Daisy climbs out of Tim’s taxi with a pile of shopping bags, Bethany reckons she must have spent a fortune but Daisy snaps that it’s all from the charity shops in Alderley Edge. Over lunch in the bistro, Tracy admits to Amy that she misses having a man in her life. David tells Maria that if she doesn’t return to work very soon, Audrey will look to replace her. Paul tells Brian he hasn’t heard anything about his stolen tablet. On edge, Glenda carries on working. An intrigued Bethany overhears Jenny tearing a strip off Daisy for spending so much money on her shopping spree and points out that they need to keep a low profile money-wise and not to spend another penny from their account. Steve returns home and is taken aback to find Tracy there. She announces she’d like them to get back together.

Part Two: Tracy assures Steve that Tommy was a stupid mistake and promises she’s back for good. He heads out for a celebratory bottle of wine as a subdued Tracy watches him go. Maria tells Gary that she’ll lose her job if she doesn’t return soon and although they need the money, she doesn’t feel ready to leave Liam. Chesney asks Dev for more shifts, revealing that he’s trying to get the money together for Joseph’s new school uniform. Dev has an idea. Hope gets a paper round from Brian. She asks for an immediate advance on her wages and explains that there’s a lad in the precinct flogging a cheap tablet and she needs the cash. Brian is intrigued. Dev is horrified when Steve reveals that he and Tracy are back together and refuses to serve him any wine. Gary approaches Carla in the Rovers and tells her he’s thinking of selling the Underworld building and he’d like her to have first refusal, but Carla admits there’s no way she can afford it. Wondering if there’s a paper trail, Bethany finds out from her that Audrey supposedly has Stephen’s journal. Tim lets slip to Bethany that he picked Daisy up from the centre of Manchester and Bethany realises she was lying. After Steve suggests that they go to the pub instead, Tracy heads upstairs to get changed and Steve burns Tommy’s letter.

Part Three: Steve announces to the regulars that he and Tracy are back together. They receive no congratulations. When Bethany insults Daisy, she throws her out of the pub. Chesney brings home Aadi’s old Oakhill uniform. Dev admits to Steve and Tracy that he’s baffled why they’re back together. Offended, she walks out while Steve tells him to mind his own business. Gary tells Maria about the sale of the factory. She’s touched. Tracy gets a phone call from Tommy. Brian approaches the lad in the precinct about the tablet. Once he sees that it’s Paul’s, he claims the police are on their way and is pushed to the floor for his pains, still holding the tablet. Christina apologises to Bethany for her daughter’s behaviour. Tracy confronts a puzzled Amy about the letter and finds out that it wasn’t her who shut up the flower shop when Tommy posted it.

Part Four: Tracy demands Steve hands over the letter. Joseph’s blazer is several sizes too big and Linda insists on buying a new one. Maria asks for reduced hours after agreeing to handle a bridal party. David is contemptuous when Audrey agrees. Bethany asks Audrey for Stephen’s journal and is told it was thrown away. Steve admits he burned the letter which invited Tracy to Spain. His livid wife tells him she’s leaving tomorrow to join Tommy. Bethany offers Daisy a truce, saying it’s for Bertie’s sake. Caught on the spot, she agrees and invites her and Daniel to dinner tomorrow. A somewhat sore Brian returns the tablet to a delighted Paul. Maria tells Gary what she’s negotiated. Behind his back, she opens a box she’s bought. An amazed Daniel can’t understand how the dinner party has come about. Dev, Mary, Tim and Carla watch on as Tracy takes a taxi away from No.1, telling Steve that’s it’s over between them.
