Plot[]

Part One: Yasmeen and Abi are shocked to hear from Roy about his ordeal and bail conditions. As he talks to them, a man sat nearby listens on and makes notes. Roy gets a call to go back to the police station to be interviewed under caution. Tracy senses that something is bothering Tommy. Steve drops hints in front of the two of them about Spain. Things remain frosty between Gemma and Chesney who is still sleeping on the sofa, much to Joseph's puzzlement. He's nervous about his trip to see Oakhill School. Sean admits that he hasn't told Violet anything about Dylan's predicament. Eileen points out that she has a right to know. Simon's pleased to see Nick and Leanne getting on well. When Leanne reveals that Rowan gave her some sound advice, Simon suggests she joins him for the next seminar. Linda comes to collect Joseph and insists he dresses up smartly, annoying Gemma. Sean tries to pluck up the courage to call Violet. David tells Shona he thinks one of Lauren's old extremist contacts is involved in her disappearance and he doesn't want Max getting involved with them again. He's unaware that at that moment his son is visiting Reece Bolton in Highfield Prison.

Part Two: Bobby apologises to Roy for getting him dragged into the police investigation. Nina thinks of holding a vigil to keep Lauren's name in the public eye. Despite their past history, Alya agrees to get involved. David is puzzled as to why Max hasn't turned up to meet Bobby to discuss tactics. Reece is desperately upset about his daughter but can't help with any details as to where she might be. Max tells him how Roy is wrongly suspected of Lauren's murder when all he did was clean the flat for her. Amy convinces Steve that it's best if she tells Tracy about Tommy's move to Spain as she'll do it more sensitively. Joseph, Chesney and Linda return with Joseph having liked the school. Gemma isn't happy. Rowan's delighted to see Leanne again at the Chariot Square. When Tracy boasts about Tommy in the Rovers, Steve can't help himself and announces her lover's move abroad. Max returns and tells Bobby where he's been. Roy finds himself alone in the cafe, apart from two dodgy men sitting at a table. When one of them gets up and locks the door, Roy realises he's in danger.

Part Three: The two men tell Roy that Reece sent them and they want to know what he's done with Lauren. Tracy isn't pleased to find out from Amy that she also knew and lies that Tommy had already told her. Gemma can see that something is bothering Joseph and finds out that he's concerned that she and his dad are splitting up. Nick finds the cafe closed and hears the sound of a plate breaking inside. Within, the two men continue to menace Roy. In the hotel bar, Leanne and Simon compliment Rowan on his seminar. He basks in their flattery and tells them he hopes to see them again. Tracy confronts Tommy about his deception and makes him feel used by saying their relationship was just about the sex. They part company. Having fetched Carla, she and Nick gain entry to the cafe through the back door and find Roy being roughed up. Eileen puts pressure on Sean to call Violet, but Dylan reveals that he's already spoken to his mum, and she can't attend the hearing as she's in Tenerife. Under threat of the police, the two men leave the cafe. Roy is in a state of near collapse.

Part Four: Roy suddenly panics that he's late for his interview at the police station. Gemma tells Chesney about Joseph's concerns. He asks her not to give up on the two of them. Dylan puts Sean off from ringing Violet. Shona tells Bobby about Roy's ordeal and is puzzled as to how they knew the details. Bobby confesses that he might know. Carla takes Roy to the station and tells DS Swain about the two men. The man who was taking notes earlier is also there and takes a surreptitious photo of Roy. Leanne enthuses to Nick about the seminar and how she found it inspirational. Shona bursts into No.8 and rails at Max for putting Roy in danger. David is just as angry. Steve suggests to Tracy that with Tommy out of the way, they could give their marriage another go. She rejects the idea but admits to Amy that she's hurting. Gemma allows Chesney back into the marital bed, saying she loves him. David takes Max to apologise to Roy who asks Carla and Abi to keep the news from Nina. He also states his determination to attend Lauren's vigil, against his friend's advice.
