Plot[]
Part One: It's half-term. Maria returns Liam's school laptop. Lauren reads a final demand from her energy company before taking a call and spelling out to the person on the other end that she wants nothing to do with them. Sam offers his services to Nick as best man. David advises his brother to discuss his misgivings about the wedding with Leanne. Dee-Dee worries that Joel has gone off her as she's barely heard from him lately. Maria confronts Mason and Dylan at the precinct and tells them that because of their vile bullying, Liam will have to change schools. Mason's amused whilst Dylan feels bad. Tommy enjoys winding Tracy up by flirting with Mary. Bobby fixes up a date with Lauren. Leanne plans a small wedding as it's their third time at the altar. Liam brings Maria coffee at the salon and tells her what a good mum she is. Maria's touched, oblivious to his suicidal thoughts.
Part Two: Tracy's mortified when Amy drops off a parcel of her spot cream in front of Tommy. Joel shows up with flowers for Dee-Dee and explains that he's been busy with work. She's forgiving and agrees to a romantic meal at the flat. Liam's teacher alerts Mrs Crawshaw to the boy's worrying search history. Maria asks Daniel if he'll give Liam extra tuition but he can't spare the time. She fails to clock her phone ringing. Lauren asks Roy for more shifts at the cafe but he tells her the rota is full. Tracy dispatches Mary on an extra long lunch break before suggesting to Tommy that they close the shop and head into the office. He declines the invitation. Gary is summoned by Mrs Crawshaw when she can't get hold of Maria. He's shown Liam's laptop and his recent searches. Toyah persuades Leanne to scale up her wedding plans. Nick says he doesn't mind taking their time to save up but Leanne's eager to marry as soon as possible. Max and Sabrina find Lauren dressed to the nines at her flat. Pushed for an explanation, she admits she makes videos for Ovidz. Gary alerts Maria to Liam's suicidal thoughts. They race to the flat, fearing the worst.
Part Three: Lauren is unapologetic for being on Ovidz, pointing out that she's legal now and it's easy money. Bobby arrives as Max and Sabrina head out. Maria and Gary are relieved to find Liam alive and well back home. Gav hands out flyers for his window cleaning service, "Glistening Gav". Steve and Tim lure Tommy away to the Rovers for the afternoon. Lauren and Bobby snuggle up on the sofa and watch Barbie. Maria's in tears as she asks Liam why he wants to kill himself. He says he thought she deserved a better son than him as he just causes her grief. Leanne is taken with the idea of a foreign wedding. Tracy worries that Tommy will give the game away while out with Steve. Bobby spots a bruise on Lauren's shoulder when they're getting intimate. Maria tells Liam that she's going to get him help. She's incredulous when he still refuses to tell everything to Mrs Crawshaw.
Part Four: Lauren tells Bobby she got the bruise when she fell down the stairs. Liam confesses to Maria that Mason and Dylan are his bullies and lists everything they've done to him. He assures her he'd never have gone through with the suicide attempt and asks her not to tell anyone that he looked it up. Steve's furious when Tracy tells Tommy about his lousy football skills. Joel masks his disappointment when Dee-Dee insists on saving herself for marriage. Mrs Crawshaw calls at the flat to reveal that Liam's allegations against Mason and Dylan will be investigated, but anything that happened outside school is a police matter. Gary and Maria are livid that they aren't being expelled. Bobby's concerned that Lauren's ex has been hurting her. He compares notes with Max and Sabrina and learns about Lauren being on Ovidz. Maria decides to take time off work and the council in order to home-school Liam, while she and Gary take turns to sleep on his floor to make sure he doesn't harm himself.
