Plot[]
Part One: Damon asks Sarah to get Adam to move his stuff out and to move on the divorce so he can't pull out of the flat and leave her and Harry homeless. Adam reluctantly agrees to meet her. Leanne protects Nick from knowing that Simon is badly hung-over. She's worried about things he said about Peter in his drunken state last night and tells him to take the day off work. She reckons he’s drinking too much. Adam is in a foul mood with Dee-Dee and Alya after Sarah's demand. Steve sets the table for a romantic lunch with Tracy but his plans are ruined when she texts to say she’s stuck at the flower market. Amy worries that there's something wrong in her parents' marriage. Nick sees that Leanne seems stressed and Toyah suggests she needs some TLC. Dee-Dee complains that she’s snowed under with work. Joel offers to meet a new client on her behalf and pass on notes. Struggling to hide his emotions, Adam tells Sarah he wants the flat sold as he doesn’t want Damon living in what was once his home. Steve confides in Tim that he's worried that Tracy has gone off him. Adam visits Harvey and runs through his grounds for appeal but can't guarantee any success, which Harvey points out leaves him stuck inside and Damon free to do what he wants with Sarah.
Part Two: Adam points out that the only way to be sure of success is if they can pin Natasha’s murder on someone else. Dee-Dee tells Ed that Damon's actions with the insurance claim could have sent him to prison for fraud and warns him to keep an eye on the ex-gangster. Bobby tells Nina and Summer he plans to throw a party in Carla's flat to cheer Simon up. When he asks them to invite Lauren, they guess correctly that he fancies her. Sarah begs Adam to think again but he's worried about Damon being in the same flat as Harry. Harvey rings Adam, telling him a man called John Perry is willing to confess to Natasha’s murder. At the tutorial, Bethany pumps Lauren for gossip about Daisy and Ryan. Lauren’s only too happy to gossip, unaware that Bethany is recording their conversation. Joel meets up with Dee-Dee’s client in the bistro but they’re interrupted by the arrival of a woman named Emily Wilkinson who’s been searching for him. In a panic, Joel steers her out as Toyah watches on. Adam tracks down John to Weatherfield General. He’s horrified to realise he’s a cancer patient.
Part Three: Damon suggests to Sarah they look for their own place. John is at the hospital for a chemotherapy session even though his condition is terminal. He agrees to give the confession. The lesson over, Lauren obtains an untruthful agreement from Bethany that she will keep what she knows about Daisy to herself. A guilty Joel tells Dee-Dee that the client is seeing another solicitor. She's embarrassed when she blurts about that she loves him, and then quickly retracts the statement. Tim gloats to Steve that he and Tommy are fast becoming friends. With John's session over, Adam questions him as to why he's willing to confess and is told that Harvey has promised to look after his wife and children financially after he dies. Adam is filled with doubts and misgivings. Adam rings Harvey who asserts that John is the right person for the job. Adam's concerns go out of the window when he sees Harry enjoying Damon's company.
Part Four: As Dee-Dee meets Joel in the bistro, Emily tries to ring him. He tells Dee-Dee that he's really falling in love with her and she admits that she feels the same way. The youngsters gather in the flat and begin to drink a strong punch that Bobby has prepared. Bethany prepares her article but puts Daniel off from proof-reading it. A torn Adam is in a bad mood with everyone around him. Paul says that if he wasn't dying, he would fight all he could to get Sarah and Harry back. Lauren brushes aside Bobby's attempts to chat her up and Summer guesses that there's someone else. Nina breaks down sobbing over Asha. Nick and Leanne begin to get annoyed about Toyah's constant presence in their flat. Joel receives constant texts and tells Dee-Dee it's work matters. He leaves a voice message for Emily telling her he'll sort their matter out. The party breaks up and Bobby agrees that Simon can stay there the night. He carries on drinking. Adam meets John to prepare for their trip to the police station tomorrow.
