Plot[]
Part One: Having spent the night at Daniel's flat, Bethany decides to go and see Sarah to say that she's back. Sarah asks Adam to see a doctor about his on-going panic attacks. Daisy tells Jenny about her humiliation at finding Daniel with some unknown blond. She perks up at Jenny's news that Waterford’s have given the two of them and Glenda permission to move back into the Rovers full-time while the sale goes through. Shona finally persuades Lauren to return to work at the cafe. Daniel sees that Lauren fancies Adam. Daniel finds out from Adam about his panic attack. A suspicious Billy and Paul can tell Summer is up to something as she types a message and announces that she's popping out for a couple of hours. Sarah makes Adam meet for a drink and he is hopeful that this could be a new start for them. She looks up panic attacks and promises Adam that they're going to tackle his anxiety together. Ed admits to Dee-Dee that he'll be sad to lose the builder’s yard but clearing his debts is top priority and he's going to his gambling support group later. As Adam and Sarah part company, neither of them notices a returned Damon Hay on the phone telling someone that he has found Adam.
Part Two: Daniel tells Ken about the latest development in his love life with Bethany. Sarah is thrilled to see her daughter when Bethany calls at her flat. Dee-Dee calls at No.3 and suggests it's time Ed moved back home instead of staying at her flat. Michael refuses to entertain the idea. Sarah is happy for Bethany to stay with her while she searches for a new London flat. As Adam heads for his office, two men follow him in a van. One jumps out and accosts him. Paul burns himself when he can no longer hold a hot cup of tea in his left hand. A delighted Gail suggests they celebrate Bethany's return with a family lunch and they head off to Speed Daal. As they make their way there, Daisy points the blond girl out to Jenny. When Jenny blurts out that Daniel slept with Bethany last night, Gail, David and Sarah are stunned. Adam is bound and gagged in the back of the van as Damon turns up and his henchmen ask what they are to do with their captive.
Part Three: Daniel is annoyed when Daisy makes judgemental comments towards Bethany. Contrary to his previous plan, Damon decides to let Adam live as he's come up with a reason to do so. The Platt's meal is not a success as Sarah and Bethany bicker about Daniel and Sarah walks out. Up in Victoria Street, she is stunned to see Damon and tells him to leave. Sarge admits to Ed that he is a better father than he ever was and tells him not to give up on Michael. Jenny advises Daisy to say sorry to Daniel and admit that she was jealous of him and Bethany. Sarah lets Damon into her flat when she discovers that he left a voicemail for her when they last parted which Adam subsequently deleted before she heard it. He is stunned when Sarah admits that she miscarried his baby.
Part Four: Sarah talks Damon through the events regarding their baby and insists that Adam is not to blame for what happened. He tells her that he's back for her, as he loves her, and is determined to make it work this time, but she refuses to make the same mistake twice and shows him out. Damon determines to kill Adam. Daniel thinks he has the chance of a new start with Bethany. Sarah and Bethany make up. A hooded Adam has a panic attack as Damon prepares to shoot him. He finds he is unable to follow through and orders his heavies to release him once he's left the scene. Ed offers to sell the yard to Gary. Daisy is about to apologise to Daniel when Bethany walks up and Daniel lets her into his flat, telling Daisy he's had enough of her drama. Adam goes into the police station and reports his own kidnap. Summer has to help Paul eat his food. She tells him she's organising a belated Christmas surprise for him. On her own, Bethany makes a call to someone, asking for a second chance. The police drive Adam back and he spots Damon in the street. He tells Daniel he's got rid of him once and he can do it again.
