Plot[]
Part One: Jenny, Daisy, Glenda and a re-hired Gemma restock the Rovers for the grand re-opening. They realise they have their work cut out when they see the state of the pub. Adam pretends he has a date for the evening when he sees Sarah dressed to the nines. Dee-Dee assures Ed that she'll persuade Michael to let him move back into No.3. Brian, Mary, Abi, Kevin, Gary, Maria, David and Steve help clean the Rovers after Glenda puts the word out. Gary hangs Betty's picture back on the wall. Yasmeen advises Stu not to confess to Eliza as he's the only family she's got now and she'd be very hurt. Ronnie writes off Ed's debt to EdiRon but tells his brother that their partnership is finished. Adam and Sarah see each other at the bistro and are amused to discover that their 'hot dates' are with Daniel and Carla respectively. Sarah accepts a drink from Adam when their dining partners abandon them.
Part Two: Carla's annoyed to find Bobby helping himself to her wine and asserts that it's time he got a job. The Rovers staff compare their bad taste fancy dress which they obtained from the charity shop and are mortified when Brian reveals that Mary donated them. Daniel upsets Daisy when he reminds her that the Rovers could have been theirs if she hadn't slept with Ryan. Heading home, he's surprised to see a familiar face pull up in a taxi in Victoria Street. Jenny and Glenda tell Daisy that Daniel is clearly pining for her. Carla shows Bobby around the factory and gives him a trial week on the sales team. Adam and Sarah can't get talking as there's a noisy hen party going in the bistro and Adam suffers a mild panic attack. They head outside and are about to kiss when Sarah pulls away. Daisy decides to patch things up with Daniel with a New Year's kiss. Calling at the flat, she's met by a half-dressed Bethany Platt. Angry and hurt, she throws her keys on the floor. Glenda leads the regulars in singing Auld Lang Syne as a contemplative Daisy heads back home.
