Plot[]
Part One: It's Christmas Day. Evelyn goes into the shop for supplies only to be beset by customers thinking they're open. Paul feigns illness in order to have a peaceful day in the flat with Billy. Carla's thrilled with Peter's gift of a silver bracelet inscribed with 'P loves C'. Ed's awash with guilt as the Baileys open the few presents they've been able to salvage. He feels even worse when he opens his watch calling him the world's best dad. Already cooking for seven, Tracy's unimpressed when Adam, Daniel and Bertie cancel their own plans to join the Barlows for dinner at No.1. Gemma's concerned about Paul being on his own, thinking Billy is working. Evelyn joins Roy and Mary at the cafe, while the Platts and Websters have their Christmas dinners at the bistro, with the latter family grumbling about the set menu. Chesney and Todd let themselves into the flower shop flat, worried that Paul's had a fall after he fails to answer his phone or the front door. They're embarrassed when they interrupt Paul and Billy making love.
Part Two: The Barlows don't enjoy their dry Christmas and end up sniping at each other. A joke about relationship gap years causes friction between Tracy and Steve. The house empties as the guests leave in search of alcohol. The Baileys join the Nazirs to eat the leftover food at Speed Daal. Stu puts a plate out for Dom to keep up the pretence that he's returning from Germany. Roy is bemused by the yoga ball Evelyn gets him, while she's genuinely touched to open South Riding. Tracy swigs a bottle of wine from Preston's Petals. While there, she sells flowers to Tommy Orpington, failing to recognise the former footballer. Tommy pays extra on the condition that she calls him for any decorating that needs done. Dev joins the Winter-Browns as they video call Bernie in prison. She promises she'll be home soon and sings Away in a Manger with them. Carla gives Peter his present - a one-way ticket to Bilbao, to join his mate Mickey's crew. He's stunned when she says she's not going with him.
