Plot[]
Part One: It's the day of Bernie's sentencing. Dev promises to keep an eye on Gemma and Paul for her while she's in prison. Chesney assures Gemma that Social Services' investigation will show that she isn't a threat to the kids but she's pessimistic. Simon tells Carla that he can't move back into his flat as he's fallen out with his flatmates. Ryan doesn't know if he's ready to front a social media campaign. Carla encourages him to talk it over with Crystal, hoping she'll make him see his worth. Cassie plans a birthday party for Hope but the girl doesn't seem keen on the idea. Lauren receives an expensive necklace in the post. Nina encourages Asha to go studying with Isla. Dev, Gemma and Paul support Bernie as she arrives in court to hear her fate.
Part Two: The judge refuses to show Bernie leniency due to her criminal record and passes a custodial sentence of three months, of which she'll serve at least half. Her loved ones are devastated as she's led away. Isla isn't in the mood to study and drags Asha to a drinking session at the bistro instead. Tyrone suggests to Cassie that Hope might be more amenable if she lets her plan her own party. Gemma thinks it's not right that Bernie has been banged up while Big Garth got off scot free. Isla tells Asha that her ex-boyfriend wants to get back with her but she's not interested. She reveals that she's gone off men and is falling for a woman she knows. Ryan tells Crystal about the job offer. Gemma uses Bernie's phone to lure Big Garth to Victoria Street. Lauren shows off her necklace to Max and Sabrina, saying it's a present from her rich new boyfriend. Crystal tells Daisy that she's moving to Glasgow in the New Year and is considering asking Ryan to come with her. Gemma demands that Garth retract his statement to the police. When he refuses, she starts throwing his gear out onto the street.
Part Three: Dev does his best to calm the situation as Garth threatens to call the police. Nina's puzzled when Amy asks her why she isn't out on the lash with Asha and Isla. Chesney arrives and sends Gemma No.5 after being summoned by Dev. Daisy advises Crystal to follow her heart. Hope tells Cassie that she doesn't want her at her party as she'll probably do something to ruin it. Chesney helps Garth put everything back in the van but refuses to compensate him, pointing out that most of his gear is nicked and he would have more to lose than Gemma if he were to call the police. Asha asks Isla about the woman she fancies, trying to work out if it's her. Nina arrives to find them arm wrestling and giggling. Left with the quads while Chesney deals with Garth, Gemma is caught at No.5 by Caitlin Edwards.
Part Four: Nina tells Asha she's going out to meet a mate. Chesney tells Caitlin that he nipped out for a few minutes as Paul had a fall in his wheelchair. Caitlin is unimpressed and reminds the couple that the kids could be taken into care if they flout the agreement. Crystal offers to get Ryan a residency at the club she's opening in Glasgow. He's tempted by the idea. Tyrone takes Hope's phone off her as a punishment for upsetting Cassie. Chesney rows with Gemma for making their situation worse. Asha asks her boss if she can switch to another crew. Shona joins Nina as she's drowning her sorrows alone at the bistro. Nina admits she's suspicious of Asha and Isla and admits that she's been lying to Asha about meeting friends to make her jealous. Shona helps her out by setting herself up as a contact called "Rob" on Nina's phone and sending a flirty text for Asha's benefit. Gemma worries that the kids will be taken into care and Chesney will never forgive her.
