Plot[]
Part One: Craig's secondment to CID is over and he's back in uniform. In front of Ronnie, he tells Jenny how much the Rovers means to him and hopes it's not converted into flats. Asha goes to spend the day studying with Isla, saying she's also having dinner that night with her. She is contemptuous of Nina's opinion that Aadi and Amy would make a cute couple. Liam has received a string of texts calling him a rat. He's sure they're from Mason. Ed and Tony Byrne work on the conversion of Paul's flat for his upcoming requirements. Tony needs his wages as soon as possible. Maria tries to talk to Sean about the trainers but he insists he doesn't want Liam anywhere near Dylan. To Leanne's annoyance, Simon's returns pallet is delivered to the bistro. It contains a lot of vapes. Asha posts pictures of herself and Isla on social media. Amy and Aadi agree to join Nina at the bistro that evening for a meal on a "friends-only" basis. At school, Liam is surrounded by Mason and his cronies.
Part Two: In front of Dylan, Mason tells Liam that if he rats on him again, Maria will suffer. Paul promises to pay Ed as soon as his delayed disability grant comes in. Dylan gets a part-time job at Prima Doner. Wanting to maintain Dylan's friendship with Liam, Gary give Dylan some cash, suggesting he and Liam bury the hatchet and go to the cinema. Leanne orders Peter to help Simon shift his vapes out of the bistro. Peter looks over an advert for sailing in Greece. Glenda starts a "Save the Rovers Campaign" and rallies Maria, Brian and a reluctant Jenny in the cafe. Daisy reports she's just seen what looks like a buyer heading into the premises. Dylan tells Liam he’s sorry about the incident in the school, but when he sees Mason approaching, he tells Liam to do a runner. The protest group disagree on their tactics. They see the supposed buyer, Luke, enter in company of Ed and Ronnie and Glenda rushes over to brand them traitors. Nina admits to Asha that she’s jealous of her and Isla. Asha assures her they’re simply friends. Behind Ed's back, Ronnie tells Luke that he doesn't think the costs for the flat conversion add up and their deal is off. Sean is livid when he finds out about Gary's money for the cinema trip. As Liam heads into Victoria Court, Mason, Dylan and his cronies corner him, showering him in rubbish and calling him a rat. When Mason starts taking pictures, a crying Liam knocks the phone out of his hand. Mason pulls out a knife.
Part Three: Mason orders Liam to pick up the phone. He does so and retreats into the flat. Ed is angry at his brother who says he doesn't want to incur the wrath of the neighbours. Ed looks at the card in Norris's name. Aadi and Amy are awkward as they meet Nina in the bistro. She complains about Asha's obsession with Nina. Sean rages at Gary for giving Dylan money. He and Maria are insistent that Dylan is covering for Mason and there is more going on than meets the eye. Sean starts to listen to what they have to say. Ed rings Tony and lies that he has his wages as he looks at a pile of notes. Liam tells Jake about the knife incident. Peter calms down Simon as he rants about how useless the pallet contents are and steps in to help him. Ronnie reports to the Rovers group that he's made Luke pull out. Craig and a colleague perform a fruitless stop and search on Mason looking for the knife. He's livid that he's been grassed on.
Part Four: Debbie is amazed at Ronnie's unselfish actions as he tells Jenny that she's the best landlady in Manchester. A raging Mason calls on Dylan, who has hidden the knife at No.11 on his orders. Left to themselves, Aadi tells Amy that he believes in soulmates, but he's never found his. Tony begs Ed for his money when he again delays paying him. Jenny and Daisy gaze at the Rovers and agree that they are determined to get it back somehow. Liam receives more threatening texts and realises that it was Jake who rang the police. Nina comes home tipsy from a night out with her college friends. Asha is too tired for the two of them to consider going straight to bed. In his bedroom, Liam sobs as the string of abusive threats continue.

Notable dialogue[]
Jenny Connor: "It's just a pub."
Daisy Midgeley (Unconvinced): "It's just a pub."
Jenny Connor: "A place that serves, drink, a bit of food..."
Daisy Midgeley: "That's right."
Jenny Connor: "And pubs are dying out these days. Everybody says so. You know, people buy booze in supermarkets and drink it at home nowadays, we know that. An' a lot of people don’t drink at all anymore, which is...fair enough, yer know, 'ealth and that. The whole idea of a community local where everyone goes and gets leathered is out of date. But this pub, Daisy, this pub, the Rovers Return is special and, yes, it's old-fashioned an' a relic of days gone by. Days which weren’t better by the way, no matter what people will tell. D'you know, that's somethin' we do far too much of - looking back, thinking things were better. They weren't. We can't look back, Daisy, we have to move forward - evolve."
Daisy Midgeley: "Are we still talking about the pub or..."
Jenny Connor: "This pub, this beautiful, welcoming sanctuary of well-earned pints after work, shoulders to cry on, fantastic gossip, laughter. It’s not perfect. It’s the people inside it that make it, I know that, but it is special. It’s my home, it’s our...it...it's this street's home. And I can’t let it go Daisy, it’s too big a part of me."
