Plot[]

Part One: As Amy prepares placards for an anti-spiking demo, Steve voices his concerns to her that she is neglecting her university studies. She tells him to back off. Sean presents Dylan with some designer trainers and reveals he sold some of his own to pay for them. Evelyn and Cassie approve of Amy's cause and agree to join the demo. Audrey tells David she wants to meet with him and Maria later. Nina gets Asha to agree for Aadi to join them for their lunch with Isla later on. Ed carries out bathroom amendments for Paul. Maria rushes into the salon asking why she's seen an estate agent at Trim Up North and Audrey reveals she has to put it on the market in order to buy back 5 Grasmere Drive out of its equity release. In addition, she intends to return to the salon, so either David or Maria will lose their job.

Part Two: Roy warns an unimpressed Amy not to do anything that will get her into trouble with the police on her demo. Under pressure from Mason, Dylan sells vapes at school, including one to Hope. Maria thinks she'll be out as David is family. David thinks his gran shouldn't take on additional pressures at her age. Aadi warns Nina not to try and matchmake between him and Isla. Asha dresses up for the occasion. Amy, Cassie, Evelyn and Summer set off for the demo. They bump into Mason and his cronies who sneer at them. Amy loses it and goes to hit Mason with her placard but a passing PC Hall stops her. Paul and Billy tell the speech therapist they want to take up the option of using a recording of his real voice when his replacement electronic voice has to be used. At the bistro meal, Asha sneers at her brother's attempts at conversation and he and Nina feel sidelined by Asha and Isla's constant talk about work. Even though Cassie and Evelyn speak up for Amy, PC Hall insists on taking both Mason and Amy's names. David and Maria try to persuade Audrey to take things easier, but she angrily accuses them of self-interest. They both walk out on her. Amy is annoyed when the police let Mason go and spray-paints the police car. She is arrested.

Part Three: Amy is taken away. Nina and Aadi end up sat at the bar by themselves while Asha and Isla chat on obliviously. Aadi confides that he feels rejected. Gail is worried about her mum when she hears what's happened. Hope sells her vape back to a guilt-ridden Dylan at a profit. Audrey tells Gail she feels guilty for raising someone like Stephen and her daughter has to tell her how wonderful she is as a mum and grandmother. Audrey doesn't know how to shake off the words that Stephen used in their final conversation and Gail assures her that they will all help her. Paul is down after their visit to the therapists. Amy accuses the police of not thinking that women are important. DS Swain takes over the questioning.

Part Four: Amy accuses the law of being biased against women and people like Mason go further and further when they get away with small offences. Swain agrees passionately that the system is flawed, as it proved in her case against Aaron, but her rage is going to get her nowhere and she deserves to live her own life. Already struck by her words, Amy is taken aback when Swain lets her go without a charge. Audrey apologises to David and Maria saying she's going to give up her job and make them co-managers. Isla gives Asha food for thought when she says she isn't interested in a relationship with someone who doesn't understand the pressures of her job. Amy celebrates her release by taking Aadi for a meal. Liam gives Dylan the shortfall in his money so that Mason doesn't take it out on him. Nina lies to Asha that she likes Isla, but she is deeply worried about Asha's new friendship. Aadi and Amy agree to pick each other up when they're down. There is a spark between them. After having sex, a more positive Paul makes his first recording. Aadi and Summer think that Amy is working on her essay, unaware that she is going to a nightclub for the fourth night in a row.
