Plot[]
Part One: Carla, Peter and Simon agree to forgive and forget the previous day's accusations. Dylan refuses to give Mason £20 for making him lose the bet. Mason responds by dumping his papers in a puddle. Paul has a coughing fit while drinking a glass of water. Bernie's horrified when he tells her the PIP application process takes 11 weeks. Carla's in the middle of slagging Crystal off when the lady in question emerges from the bedroom with Ryan, having spent the night with him. Gemma keeps Joseph off school with a sore head. Chesney doesn't think it's anything to worry about. Sarah tells Carla that the police couldn't find the stolen money. Dylan feigns illness to get out of going to school. Desperate to help Paul out financially, Bernie allows Big Garth to sell the laptops off at a knockdown price. Carla tells Sarah that Underworld's survival depends on getting the order out tomorrow and taking cash on delivery.
Part Two: Carla gives the workers overtime, assuring them that they'll be paid as the money Stephen stole has been traced. Beth pulls a sickie to go to a job interview. Gemma can't get a doctor's appointment for Joseph until Monday. Worried that he's seriously ill, she drags him off to A&E. Bernie collects her cut of the laptop sales from Garth at the precinct. Unseen by them, a policeman photographs the exchange of money from a nearby car. Toyah assures Carla that she has no romantic interest in Peter. Carla erupts with laughter at the thought of them having an affair. Coming off the tram, Bernie is arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods. Beth learns the true situation with Stephen's money from David and texts her colleagues with the news. Realising that Carla lied to them, they down tools. Dylan asks Brian for an advance on his wages. Brian refuses and fires him for delivering soggy newspapers. Izzy leads the factory workers in a walkout.
Part Three: The Underworld staff feel that finding another job is better than working for nothing. Carla tries to rally the troops but they don't believe anything she says. Joel represents Bernie as she's questioned by DS Swain. She answers every question with "no comment". Peter appeals to the striking workers but ends up blaming them for the mess the factory is in, reminding them that they sided with Stephen against Carla. Daisy is shocked to see Crystal with Ryan in the cafe. Bernie returns to the street but doesn't tell Paul about her arrest. Sean gets a new job through an agency. Dylan asks to borrow £20 from him but he can't afford it. Gemma's miffed after being fobbed off by the doctor at A&E. Peter decides to change tack with the striking workers.
Part Four: Peter leads Evelyn, Roy and Nina into the factory to help finish the order, while Sally, Kirk, Simon and Izzy return to work with some gentle persuasion. Daisy makes out to Daniel that she isn't bothered about Ryan and Crystal as she glances at a photo of the pair on Ryan's social media. Peter is annoyed to hear from Roy that people are gossiping that he's back on the drink. Gemma's certain there's something wrong with Joseph that the doctor missed. Chesney doesn't agree. Peter tells Carla that his mate Mickey is expanding his tour boat business in Majorca and is looking for people to crew the boats. He tries to interest her in taking up the opportunity, suggesting it'd be a rest for them. Bernie tells Dev that the police want to see her again tomorrow. Peter tells Carla the boats set sail next week so this is their chance. Carla refuses to run away from her problems and gives him a hard no.
