Plot[]
Part One: Ryan injects again. Jenny tries to get in touch with Teddy to discuss Leo's funeral but none of her texts get through. Stephen urges her to forget them and concentrate on their lives. Finishing a livestream, Ryan panics when his filter drops out and the subscriber recognises him from the papers as the acid attack victim. Glenda puts Tim onto a phone repair shop run by an admirer of hers when he drops his handset in the Rovers. Ed and Ronnie worry about their investment as the land officially becomes theirs. Ryan forgets a lunch date with Daisy and is annoyed when she asks him if he was streaming again. Glenda advises Jenny to keep looking for Teddy to put her mind at ease. Suki Waters tells Ryan that she's seen screen grabs from his livestreams and asks to interview him for the Gazette. Insisting that the man in the videos isn't him, Ryan's horrified when she adds that the article will go live today with or without his input.
Part Two: The mourners set off for Shelly's funeral, including Paul, Bernie, Jim, and Shelly's brother Kieran. Billy conducts the service at St. Mary's Church. The police finish their investigation at the building site, allowing the developers to crack on. Ronnie considers taking Debbie away for a few days and offends Ed by admitting that he doesn't like leaving him in charge of the business account. Jenny calls at the police station and tells Craig that she's worried about Teddy's whereabouts. Tim gets his phone repaired and passes on a gift from Glenda's fancier. Carla drags Ryan to the Rovers for lunch. At the funeral, Kieran objects to Paul doing a reading, saying it's his right as Shelly's brother. Paul tears a strip off him for ignoring Shelly when she became ill. Kieran kicks Paul's cane away and the men start brawling. Paul accidentally elbows Billy in the face when he tries to pull them apart. Izzy reads the Gazette article about Ryan being on Ovidz. Ryan is mortified when he leaves the gents and finds everyone in the pub talking about it.
Part Three: Ryan makes out that it's no big deal as he isn't hurting anyone. Carla is concerned about his mental health. The outraged mourners shame Kieran into leaving the church. Paul starts his reading but breaks down at the pulpit. Ronnie assures Ed that he has faith in him. Paul feels he's let Shelly down but Billy helps him see that funerals aren't for the dead, but about giving the living a chance to say goodbye. Ryan considers his Ovitz career empowering and a relief from the despair he feels every day but Carla thinks he's degrading himself and threatens to tell Michelle what he's been up to. Paul summons up the strength to give his reading, saying that Shelly brightened up his life. Billy helps him get through it. Daniel notices that Daisy wasn't surprised about Ryan and guesses that she already knew. Jenny becomes even more concerned after going to Teddy's house and seeing hundreds of letters through the letterbox. She arrives home to the news that the Waterford's Manager will be meeting them tomorrow to discuss changes at the pub.
Part Four: Ryan confronts Carla after being grilled by Michelle about his Ovidz videos. He tells her to keep her beak out of his life. Jenny tells Craig that Teddy is missing. Daisy accuses Ryan of doing Ovidz in order to feel that he's still attractive, pointing out that if he really wasn't bothered about the scars he wouldn't use a filter. Billy is upset knowing that the next funeral he goes to could be Paul's. Ryan apologises to Carla for kicking off but asks her to respect his wishes. He announces that he's moving out of the flat as she's now paid off Lou Donahue. Stephen realises that Jenny won't stop looking for Teddy if she remains in Weatherfield. Paul tells Billy that the sun came through after he finished his reading and it made him feel that Shelly was there with them.
