Plot[]
Part One: Aggie has gone to her aunt's. Summer celebrates her nineteenth birthday. Billy and Paul can only afford a book and a journal for her. The wedding is booked at the bistro. Sarah hears Stephen arranging to meet someone at the Chariot Square to discuss a deal. Thinking he's scheming with Angelique, she follows her uncle there. Stu's given food for thought when Dom points out that he didn't know Eliza from Adam a year ago. He says he just wants the same chance to get to know her that he got. Bernie worries that Paul is over-exerting himself by looking after Shelly. She goes along to her flat with him. Sarah confronts Stephen at the hotel as he's waiting for his contact and threatens to call the police.
Part Two: Jenny joins Stephen at the Chariot Square. Sarah's relieved to discover that her uncle is there to give the landlady moral support when she signs the Rovers over to Newton & Ridley. Ronnie decides to stall Ed over the plot of land by making out that a surveyor friend of his has offered them mates' rates, but can't start for a few days. Lou tells Carla about Rufus dabbling with LSD and admits that she once tried it. Carla has a realisation when she reels off a list of symptoms, including hallucinations and paranoia. Ronnie's thwarted when Ed reveals he's hired his own surveyor to speed things up. Cassie talks Dev and Kirk into a game of gin rummy at the Rovers. Mary is suspicious of her. Jenny's upset as the brewery takes ownership of the Rovers. Paul and Bernie are at Shelly's when their host takes delivery of a load of parcels, all containing laptops. Shelly tells them that her employer fired her for having MND, so she's getting back at them by buying laptops on her old company credit card and commissioning a neighbour to sell them on in order to pay for her carers. Carla is convinced that her "psychotic episodes" earlier in the year were actually acid trips. She tells Roy she thinks someone drugged her.
Part Three: Roy finds Carla's theory far-fetched. Carla suspects Rufus of spiking her drinks in order to get his hands on Nippersnapper. Shelly offers to buy Paul whatever he wants on the card but he refuses to get involved. Billy and Summer record wedding video invites on Summer's laptop. Summer's thrilled when Paul returns with a new, faster, laptop for her, saying he got it cheap second-hand. Ed is disappointed to find out from the estate agent that there has been a lot of interest in the plot of land and they're taking sealed bids. Yasmeen tells Eliza that she doesn't plan to visit her family in Pakistan, as they weren't there for her when she needed them. Eliza's thrilled when Stu reveals he's persuaded Bridget to let her see Dom. A worried Roy warns Peter that Carla may be having another psychotic episode. Tyrone is unimpressed to find that Cassie has spent the whole day drinking at the Rovers. He drags her back to No.9. Carla arrives flat to find Dr Gaddas making a house-call, summoned by Peter.
Part Four: Carla insists that she's fine and shows Dr Gaddas out. Tyrone helps Cassie sober up and makes it clear that he expects better from her when the girls come back. Ronnie realises that he'll be caught out if he and Ed win the bid. Bernie offers to sell the laptops for Shelly for a cut of the profits after hearing that her neighbour can't do it anymore. Shelly agrees. Stephen consoles Jenny, telling her it doesn't matter whose name is on the deeds. He suggests it's time she took a step back and thought about herself. They kiss passionately. Carla takes Roy to task for selling her out. Roy gives her the details of a clinic where she can have hair samples tested for LSD, noting that it remains in the body for up to 90 days. She takes it, vowing to raise hell if the tests are positive. At the Rovers, Jenny leads Stephen upstairs.
