Plot[]
Part One: On the day that they're going to Norfolk to see Fiz for a break, Tyrone is short-tempered with Hope and Ruby as they question him about Cassie. At their flat, Evelyn argues with Cassie about what she did in revealing her identity. Ed and Ronnie make arrangements to have a lunch at the Chariot Square. Kevin and Abi find out from Nina that Tyrone's had an upset, but she backs off from being more specific. Ryan enters his bedroom clutching a steroid needle, only to find Carla changing his bed sheets. He tries to keep his temper while she chatters away but once she has gone he injects himself, and punches in the wardrobe door in anger. George talks a queasy Todd through the various undertaking procedures he'll have to follow if he wants professional qualifications. Tyrone is distracted with Kevin and Abi at the garage. Evelyn turns up to say sorry for keeping everything from him, but he's not interested and tells her to be gone.
Part Two: Roy and Nina look after the girls and find out how angry Tyrone is about Cassie. Carla accepts Stephen's offer to assist her with a sales pitch. Debbie spots major food retailer Jason Waterford meeting Philip Newton at the hotel and thinks something big is brewing. Evelyn offloads on to Roy about the Tyrone situation. He urges her to show genuine remorse to the people she claims to care about. Todd has handled his first corpse, but the experience puts him off his Rovers hotpot. Tyrone brings Kevin and Abi up to date with developments. Abi counsels him to think carefully before bringing a recovering addict into the girls' lives. As Ryan returns from a run, he has palpitations, and his legs collapse under him. Gary rushes to his aid. Philip and Jason think Ronnie is unprofessional when he tries to present him with his business card in the hotel bar and tell him he's too pushy. Ryan snaps at Gary when he tries to offer him advice. He asks if he's taken something. Tyrone turns up at the flat and asks to speak to Cassie alone.
Part Three: Cassie tells Tyrone how she returned from South Africa and didn't know how to find him. She denies knowing who his father is. She tries to put the blame on to Evelyn for all that's happened, leading Tyrone to defend his gran. Debbie thinks of a way to find out what Philip and Jason's meeting is about. Cassie talks Tyrone through her childhood history, and how she began taking drugs and Evelyn blamed her for her father's death leading to her homelessness. Tyrone remains bitter about how she abandoned him as a baby. Cassie tears up as she tells him how much she wants to get to know him and her grandchildren and begs him not to let Evelyn's interference ruin things. The Underworld meeting has gone well, and Carla and Stephen complement each other on their work. Debbie takes a photocopy of one of Philip and Jason's documents after cleaning it for them when she "accidentally" spills a drink on it. Ronnie is intrigued to see that it shows that LS Waterford is buying Newton & Ridley. Debbie advises him to buy shares in the brewery before the takeover is announced and they skyrocket in value. Evelyn is shocked to find that Tyrone has invited Cassie to move into No.9 and he will stay with her while the girls go to Norfolk alone, and he wants Evelyn to stay in the precinct flat. She warns him he's making a big mistake.
Part Four: Tyrone tells the girls about the changed plans. Roy has doubts about what he's doing. Todd finds dealing with death physically difficult but is cheered up when George gives him new business cards with both their names on it. Eileen is proud of her son. Kevin takes the girls to a halfway point to Norfolk from where he will hand them over to Fiz. He meets Cassie. Carla questions Ryan about the wardrobe which he claims was an accident. She's worried that his exercise regime is becoming an addiction and making him difficult to be around. In his bedroom, he bins his steroids. Ed is wary of buying the shares. Debbie tells him there's no risk. Ed refuses, saying Aggie will say it's a form of gambling. Debbie tells Ronnie to go it alone. Evelyn tells Roy she thinks Cassie is using again and will take advantage of her trusting grandson. Roy thinks this time it could be different. Cassie and Tyrone enjoy a meal together. She hides a box of pregabalin in her handbag.
