Plot[]
Part One: Jenny, Daisy and Glenda prepare for the Rovers' party night but disaster strikes when Glenda loses her voice. She rings round to try and find someone else. Eliza lies to Yasmeen and Stu that she's going to her holiday club. Sean has told George and Gary the true state of the Rovers' books and insists they turn up at the party night. Jenny is nervous as Philip and Henry arrive. Philip is delighted to hear that Glenda has booked singer Glyn Young in her place, labelling him a legend. Adam is in a bad mood and tries to take it out on Dee-Dee. As Kevin, Debbie and Ronnie arrive for the party night, so does Glyn Young - now an elderly man with a hearing aid. A panicking Michael tells Stephen that a meeting with Rufus Donahue's firm is going to be chaired by his widow, Lou. Stephen tells him to get his act together. Dev returns home to find Bernie setting up a massage table she found in a skip, intending to go into business. He is objecting when her first customer arrives - Todd. Jenny is appalled to how old and decrepit Glyn now seems. Stu hears from Gemma that the holiday club isn't on that day and worries where Eliza is.
Part Two: Stu rushes to Speed Daal in a panic and fetches Yasmeen to help him search. Dee-Dee drags Adam to the party but he's only interested in knocking back drinks. A surprised Todd enjoys his massage until the table collapses under him. Philip takes a fancy to Glenda, who doesn't like his attentions. Henry declares the books to be fine, pending the opinion of their accountants. Lou turns up at Underworld and tells Stephen that the meeting is cancelled as Rufus's inquest is being published tomorrow. She suspects foul play and she's contacted the papers. Glyn is dead to the world, after having had a long nap, but he revives enough to begin singing and get the party going. Stu and Yasmeen find Eliza with Dom at the precinct, and she introduces him as her dad. Glyn and the party are a success. He takes a break in the back room. Still carrying his microphone, he chats to Glenda as she complains about Philip's attentions, labelling him a "dirty old perv". The conversation is carried through to the public and heard by everyone present, including Philip himself.
Part Three: Jenny rushes to rip the leads out of the speakers. A livid Philip leaves. Henry stays behind, promising that what's happened won't affect their decision. Dom shows an angry Stu proof that he is Eliza's father. Todd suspects he has broken his nose with the sudden fall. Stephen is put on edge when Michael tells him that Rufus's story could appear in the national press. Henry starts to flirt with Gemma. Glyn falls ill with a suspected heart attack, making the evening even worse. Having reluctantly taken Dom back to No.6, Eliza tells Stu how she found him on social media. When Dom talks about how happy he was to have a second chance to get to know his daughter, his words resonate with Stu. Paramedics are called for Glyn. Henry watches on as he is taken to hospital and most of the customers swiftly depart with the entertainment over. Henry tells Jenny that the accountants have looked at the books and they aren't willing to buy the pub. He advises her to sell it to flat developers.
Part Four: George is drunk as Gemma and Sean are on tenterhooks to find out what Henry's saying to Jenny. Todd thanks Bernie as, despite his facial injuries, she's fixed a problem in his back that he's had for years. Inspired, she plans to buy a decent new table and informs Dev she's going to carry on using his house for her services. Dom tells Stu about how he regrets his misspent youth and how he now wants to get to know his daughter. With a smile painted on her face, Jenny calls time. Glenda reports that Glyn has had a mild angina attack. Jenny breaks the bad news to the staff. They try to put a brave face on it. Stu tells Yasmeen he's worried about Dom and how to break the news to Bridget. Stephen looks over various news stories about Rufus's death. Glenda tells Jenny they'll find a way to make this work. Once she's gone to bed, a tearful Jenny leaves a message on the developer's phone and switches off the lights.
