Plot[]
Part One: Paul is appalled at the price of wheelchairs. Summer has a job interview at an agency and, despite her assurances to the contrary, Paul feels guilty that she won’t be able to concentrate on her studies because of him. Adam celebrates his birthday with a bistro lunch and bowling with Harry planned. Todd gets up to find Brian and George back at their model-making. Audrey angrily upbraids Stephen for not telling her about his wedding plans. He asks Elaine for her passport, saying he needs to rebook their flights to Las Vegas. Eric calls at the garage and saying he's getting the keys for his new place, invites Aaron to move back in. His son refuses, saying he’s happy at No.13. Although disappointed, Eric understands. Stephen bumps into Owen who claims he is just passing through the area. Paul can’t concentrate on his upcoming hearing for stealing Rufus’s car. He rings Niall for more work, but the phone is put down on him. Amy is making new friends at university who know nothing about her ordeal. Niall rings Paul back with another car-stealing job for him.
Part Two: Billy intercepts Paul, suggesting they eat in town, but Paul lies that he already has plans with Dee-Dee. Brian suggests that George enters his model in a competition. Billy asks Dee-Dee about her plans with Paul. She thinks on her feet and covers for him. Adam tells Nick that there may be a problem with the late license as some locals have raised objections. Dee-Dee calls on Paul and invites him out. She is told he is already going out with Billy, raising her suspicions. Sarah has to hide her discomfort when Damon invites himself to join her and Adam’s lunch. Elaine begs Audrey for a chance to talk. Maria lets slip that Sarah was one of those who raised objections about the late licence. Nick and Adam are furious. Dee-Dee follows Paul to Freshco’s car park where she finds him about to steal a car as an insurance job. She threatens to call the police, but Paul is adamant that he needs the money and putting the car into gear, roars off.
Part Three: His conscience pricked, Paul soon returns. Damon enjoys Sarah’s discomfort as Adam and Nick confront her. Elaine and Audrey reach an understanding, both of them having had to abandon their sons. Left alone, Adam and Sarah argue. Adam returns to work rather than go bowling. Dee-Dee asks Paul who Niall is and who put him in touch with him, but he refuses to answer. Todd thinks Brian has designs of his own to win the competition. George disparages the idea, until he discovers that his ship’s maidenhead has gone missing. Paul refuses Dee-Dee’s idea that he does a plea deal by grassing on Niall. Adam suggests that Nick tells the neighbours that the late licence will bring in money for their own businesses. Damon tells Sarah to chill and not be worried about what they did. Abi tells Aaron that his dad is reaching out to him and makes him realise he ought to respond. Paul corners Damon in the bistro office and demands £25,000 or he’ll grass him up for his criminal activities.
Part Four: Damon stands his ground and Paul gives him until tomorrow to pay up. Elaine almost catches Stephen scanning his passport. She tells him she wants a proper wedding with their families there. Despite wanting a quick ceremony, he delights her by agreeing. His life insurance policy application is confirmed by text. George rows with Brian when he confronts him over the missing maidenhead. Summer gets the job, working as a server at events. Elaine summons Sarah, Audrey and Tim to tell them about the revised wedding plans. Audrey is pleased. Stephen is less than happy to see that Owen and Jenny appear to be an item. Steve reports to Amy that he’s seen Aaron packing his bags and leaving No.13. Damon calls his criminal contacts, urging them to shut Paul down.
