Plot[]

Part One: Stephen leases a BMW for work purposes. Sarah plans a lunch date with Adam, but without the lunch. Elaine finds out that the paperwork is ready for the Redbank apartment. Tim admits he thinks she and Stephen are rushing things. Paul gets a letter confirming his court date. Dee-Dee advises him to tell the police if anyone else is involved but he insists he acted alone. Summer helps Amy with her economics assignment. Amy refuses to ask for an extension as she doesn't want special treatment. George takes a day off to work on the model ship. Amy and Summer get up to leave the cafe when Aaron enters. In her haste, Amy knocks over her coffee, completely drenching her laptop. Owen and Angelique arrive at the Factory to inspect the Nippersnapper order. Stephen opens a hand delivered letter which reads "I know what you did to Rufus".

Part Two: Aaron feigns a migraine to get off work. Owen and Angelique are impressed and place a second order. Summer tries to rescue Amy's laptop by putting it in rice but it doesn't work. The factory owners drink to the second order at the Rovers. Owen flirts with Jenny and gets her phone number, annoying Stephen. Billy notices that Paul's been in a strange mood and worries that there's another man. Elaine accidentally reveals that she and Stephen are engaged while reassuring Tim about their relationship. Damon warns Paul that Niall will come for him and his family if he gives his name to the police. George glues his fingers together while building the model and Eileen has to separate them. Amy panics as she has to do her assignment from scratch by Monday without a computer. She admits she's already missed a deadline. Tracy finds a brand new laptop on No.1's doorstep. Adam gets tied up with the bistro's late licence application and can't meet Sarah. Sarah's annoyed when he refuses to let Dee-Dee handle it instead. Outside the factory, Kyle and Mitchell - the lads who Stephen tried to buy LSD from - own up to sending the letter, having put two and two together after reading about Rufus's death in the paper. They demand £10,000 from Stephen or they go to the police.

Part Three: Stephen tells the lads to take a running jump. When they leave to carry out their threat, he asks for an hour to get the money. Sarah accuses Adam of not prioritising their marriage. He gives in and passes the late licence application onto Dee-Dee and Alya. Amy is horrified to realise that the laptop must have come from Aaron and hands it back to him, saying he can't buy her forgiveness. Tim is even more concerned after hearing about Elaine and Stephen's secret engagement, thinking that Stephen will sell the flat from under her. Tracy and Summer convince Amy to tell her tutor what she's going through rather than be kicked out of university. Stephen meets Kyle and Mitchell at the precinct and drives off with them in his car.

Part Four: Stephen takes the lads to the police station and invites them to go in and tell the police everything; they'll laugh at them, and then after he's questioned and released, he'll find them and kill them. He frightens the lads off. Now dealing with Dee-Dee, Damon guesses that Sarah doesn't want him to spend any time with Adam. Alya takes a fancy to the club owner. Amy feels better after speaking to her tutor. Aaron tells Abi that he was just being kind to a mate when she questions his over-generous purchase. Alya plays hard to get with Damon. Sarah overhears him asking her out. Stephen tells Tim and Sally that he wants to spend the rest of his life with Elaine. Dee-Dee urges Paul to at least tell the police about his MND diagnosis but he doesn't plan on telling anyone until after Gemma's wedding. Tim upsets Elaine by suggesting that a high-flying businessman wouldn't be attracted to her. Eileen despairs as George is only on page two of sixty after spending the whole day model-building. Elaine decides she doesn't want Tim at the wedding and will move out of No.4 immediately. She and Stephen agree to elope to Las Vegas. Tim tells Stephen that the only way he'll marry Elaine is over his dead body.
