Plot[]
Part One: It's the day of Damon's trial. Sarah's relieved that his chances of acquittal are slim but Adam hints that he has a trick up his sleeve. Michael is sick of the overcrowding at No.3. Chesney lets Paul borrow his car to pick up some shelves. Glenda organises a raffle to promote the stage school. Leanne and Nick look forward to being able to draw a line under the Damon business. Roy can't concentrate at the cafe after Freddie keeps him up all night with his barking. Stephen begrudgingly agrees to Rufus's demand for 50% of the profits from the American deal, even though he'll have to pay him out of his own pocket. He promises Rufus that this is the last time he comes out on top. At the trial, Dee-Dee unleashes her smoking gun: the drugs seized from Damon's vehicle weren't signed into evidence until the day after his arrest, giving someone plenty of time to tamper with them. She asks the judge that the evidence be ruled inadmissible. Paul follows Rufus in Chesney's car when he leaves the factory. Nick, Leanne and Sarah are stunned when Damon shows up at the bistro after his case is thrown out.
Part Two: Gazette reporter Suki Waters interviews Stephen about Nippersnapper. Michael's annoyed when Stephen doesn't let him speak to her. Glenda admits to George that only two kids are signed up to Little Big Shotz. George feels his £5,000 ebbing away. Eileen hears them discussing it and realises that George did loan Glenda the money. She says it's his money to do with as he likes but she's annoyed that he lied to her. Damon tells Nick and Leanne that he just wants a normal life but indicates that he isn't done with the bistro. Roy tells Evelyn that he's inherited Freddie as Melvyn's family don't want him back. She slams him for his obvious hostility towards the dog. Damon assures Sarah that he won't say a word about their liaison. Dee-Dee clocks their exchange. Michael decides to take the London job after being excluded by Stephen. Dee-Dee asks Sarah if she fancies Damon. Sarah says it's none of her business but the guilt on her face leads Dee-Dee to conclude that she's already slept with him.
Part Three: Damon and Adam celebrate the trial outcome with expensive wine at the bistro. Michael arranges to call on Rufus at the house he's renting in Mobberley. Sarah tells Dee-Dee everything. Dee-Dee promises to keep her secret but warns her that Damon might not be so discreet. Michael breaks the news about his London move to Ed and takes great pleasure in telling Stephen that he can stick his job. Roy decides to take Freddie to a dog shelter so that he goes to someone who wants a dog. Damon sees Sarah locked in conversation with Dee-Dee and accuses her of spilling the beans. Sarah denies the charge. Damon offers Adam more work representing his business associates. Sarah advises him not to accept but Adam thinks he can handle them. Paul follows Rufus to his house.
Part Four: Sarah tells Damon to knock it off with the looks and smiles. She reminds him that nothing else will happen between them and she loves Adam. Evelyn is horrified to learn that Roy has got rid of Freddie. Paul lies in wait in Rufus's garden while the businessman has a party by himself. Once the coast is clear, he runs in through the back and grabs Rufus's car keys. Aggie refuses to get emotional and wishes Michael well on his London move. Paul drives off in Rufus's car. Evelyn shames Roy for dumping Freddie but he's confused as he was taking her advice. Rufus receives a visitor. Evelyn wins the raffle, but is unimpressed with the prize of free child salsa lessons with Glenda. She insists on trying it herself before deciding whether to enrol Hope and Ruby. Michael arrives at Rufus's house but doesn't get a response at the front door. Adam apologises to Sarah for pressuring her into having another baby. He agrees to wait until the time is right. He's thrilled when Sarah suggests that perhaps now's the time.
