Plot[]
Part One: Paul reluctantly agrees to Billy’s suggestion that he comes clean to Summer about his financial situation, but he remains quiet about his MND diagnosis. Now that the Redbank Apartments purchase is sorted, Elaine is keen to carry on planning her and Stephen’s wedding, but he is quietly reluctant. Sarah is annoyed with Adam when he has to work. Carla returns from the clinic to give Ryan her support, although he doesn’t want it. She forgives an apologetic Paul for his compensation claim. Estelle Harrington complains about the undertakers' £4,000 fee for her mother-in-law's funeral. Tracy suggests a film night and a curry on the sofa with Amy. Having overheard Stephen and Elaine talking about the Redbank purchase, Ronnie tells Michael he is being taken for a ride by his employer and deserves a bigger bonus for getting the US deal. Shona agrees that she and Lily can go on an Easter egg hunt with Sarah and Harry though Nick is certain that Sam won’t join them. Gemma’s wedding venue goes bust and she tells Paul she has no cash to book another place. He’s determined to help her.
Part Two: Having found out that Shuttleworth’s quote was the going rate, Estelle makes another appointment with George. Paul looks for Nick and sees a pile of cash on the bistro office desk. He stands guard over it. Sarah is disappointed when Leanne refuses to allow Sam to go to her Easter egg hunt because it isn’t safe whilst Damon and his thugs are at large. Sam is disappointed. Nick’s not impressed to see Adam having lunch with Damon and explains to Paul that he’s bad news. As George and Todd show a still-complaining Estelle out of the undertakers, Glenda recognises her and as they break into song, explains that they used to work together on the cruise ships. Sarah tells Damon that because of him, Sam is too scared to come round to their house and it’s time he put things right. Amy calls at Speed Daal for the takeaway but spotting Aaron at the counter, she turns on her heel and flees the restaurant. Michael calls to see Stephen and puts forward his case for a cut of the profits. But it’s clear Stephen isn’t listening, distracted by the sudden arrival of Carla. Paul approaches Damon and reveals that he hasn’t long to live and needs to earn some cash. Damon hands him the details of a bloke called Niall who is looking for a driver as part of an insurance scam, but warns him never to cross him or Niall's brother.
Part Three: Stephen is reassured when Carla tells him she has no plans to return to work soon. George sees Paul knock over his drink in the Rovers and thinks he's intoxicated. Stephen angrily rejects Michael’s demands. George finds out that Glenda told Estelle her family was in the removals’ business rather than admit it was in funerals. Paul goes to Lindel Road where he drives away a parked Range Rover whose number Damon gave him. Leanne is perturbed when Damon appears at the flat, saying he wants to change and settle down in a legitimate business. He pleads Nick’s case with her, saying everyone needs to move on. The Range Rover has a puncture outside the precinct. PC Rowland offers to help Paul fix it.
Part Four: Nick is pleased when Leanne brings Sam round to No.8 for the Easter egg hunt. She tells Sarah what Damon said. Michael rejects Ronnie’s offer to step in with Stephen. Glenda is embarrassed when Gemma gives away the fact that she is a barmaid at the Rovers. Estelle reveals that she’s now the co-owner of a performing arts club for kids and anyone can buy into the franchise and open their own branch. Glenda’s interest is piqued, even though the Weatherfield franchise is good to go once the £9.5k fee is paid by the contractor. Amy returns with fish and chips, saying there was a massive queue at Speed Daal but Alya brings the takeaway round, telling Tracy that her daughter forgot to take it. Sarah is put out when Adam says he is too tired to do anything that night. Paul gives Gemma £300 towards her new wedding venue. Sarah thanks Damon for his intervention and is put out when he says he’s no longer chasing her as it’s crossing the line into stalking. Amy refuses to give Tracy an explanation for her behaviour. Having spoken to George, Billy confronts Paul, thinking he was drinking. Paul explains he was upset about Gemma. Behind Billy’s back, he rings Niall and offers to do more work for him.
