Plot[]
Part One: It's Daisy and Daniel's wedding day. Jenny scrambles to arrange a car for Daisy after the one they booked is stolen and Jenny's goes into the garage for repairs. She doesn't let on to the bride. Daisy thinks Christina's wedding day curse is real when Glenda's eye cream gives her a bloodshot eye. Ryan plans his move to Ibiza with Crystal. Alya sees them together in the cafe. He agrees to chauffeur Daisy to the wedding in his car. As the Barlows get ready, moody bridesmaid Amy runs upstairs when Adam puts his arm around her. Jenny is forced to come clean about the wedding car mishap when Ryan arrives at the Rovers. Dee-Dee realises that Paul hasn't told Billy he can't repay the loan. Ken proof-reads Daniel's vows and praises his son for acknowledging Sinead in a tasteful way. Daisy frets as the venue doesn't have a seating plan, with guests about to arrive. When the wrong cake is delivered to the Rovers, it's the last straw and Daisy declares that the wedding is off.
Part Two: Jenny takes charge of the situation and dispatches Ryan to exchange the cake. Daisy thanks them and agrees to go ahead with the wedding. Simon asks Amy what Adam's done wrong. She again recoils when he puts his hand on her and shouts at him to leave her alone. Paul confesses to Billy that the loan is still hanging over him. Billy assures him that he won't have to face it on his own. Alya wishes Ryan a happy future in Ibiza. Amy apologises to Simon. Daisy and Ryan are the last ones to leave. Looking a million dollars in her wedding dress, Daisy can't wait to marry Daniel. The pair close the Rovers before setting off. Daisy's aghast when the last customer is revealed to be Justin. Advancing on her, Justin declares that no one will want her after this before throwing a vial of liquid at her. Ryan takes the brunt of it when he moves in to tackle Justin. He falls to the floor as Justin makes a run for it, knocking Daisy over as he passes. Daisy cries as acid burns her chest while Ryan howls in agony.
Part Three: A panicked but lucid Daisy crawls over to Ryan and calls an ambulance from his phone. Ryan continues to scream having taken acid to his face, neck and shoulder. The operator advises Daisy to remove Ryan's clothing and soak the wounds with water. Running on adrenaline, Daisy helps him into the shower cubicle in the bathroom and turns on the water. Handing him the shower head, she fetches a pair of scissors and cuts off his shirt. At the venue, Daniel anxiously awaits his bride's arrival. The guests grow restless as it seems Daisy has jilted Daniel. Abi sees an ambulance pull up outside the Rovers and ventures inside. As the paramedics attend to Ryan, Abi takes charge of Daisy and alerts Jenny as to what's happened. The police arrive and DS Swain interviews Daisy, over Abi's objections. Daisy is uncooperative and presses Swain for an exact number when she assures her that there are plenty of officers searching for Justin. When Swain admits that she doesn't know, Daisy rails at her and the police for ignoring her multiple warnings that Justin was dangerous.
Part Four: Jenny and Daniel look after Daisy at the hospital. The police seal off the Rovers. Alya is stunned to hear from Glenda that Ryan's had acid thrown at him. Ryan is given morphine for the extreme pain. Daisy is wracked with guilt at what's happened to him and feels she escalated the situation by getting Justin arrested. Jenny refuses to let her blame herself. Tracy attacks Adam, arguing that it's because of people like him that Justin was walking free. Ken orders his squabbling family to concentrate on supporting Daisy and Daniel. Amy listens to the row from the stairs, thinking about her own situation. Alya arrives at the hospital and is allowed in to see Ryan. Daisy spots Justin's car in the car park and tries to stop him from leaving. He begs her to see that he didn't want to hurt anyone and thought that if she looked different the shallow people wouldn't want to be with her. Changing tack, Daisy makes out that he's convinced her he's worthy of her love. She tells him to come out and kiss her and tricks him into opening the car door. Grabbing the keys, she presses the horn repeatedly until the police turn up and arrest Justin. Ryan is taken into the operating theatre to remove the damaged tissue. Daisy visits him beforehand and apologises for the fact that he's there instead of her. Ryan doesn't blame Daisy but doesn't know what he's going to do now.
