Plot[]

Part One: Stephen calls the Americans to tell them the deal's off, but makes out to Sarah that they're the ones who pulled out. Cerberus is still poorly but Evelyn is sure he'll feel better once he's been fed. Paul refuses an offer from Dee-Dee to cover his half of the rent. Sarah's peeved to find that Adam is still representing Damon. Alya arranges to meet Ryan at the bistro later. Dee-Dee warns Damon he's unlikely to walk free as whoever stitched him up knew what they were doing. With Fiz away at Cilla's, Tyrone persuades Evelyn to take Cerberus to the vet's. A dejected Gemma tells Paul that the wedding venue has rejected their payment plan and wants the full amount upfront. Cerberus has a swollen stomach and is kept in for tests. The vet suggests food poisoning as the likely cause.

Part Two: Hearing that Cerberus is ill, Roy admits to Evelyn that the greyhound may have eaten an Eccles cake that was lying on the cafe floor. Sarah appeals to Damon to do the right thing and leave her family alone. Roy apologises to Evelyn, explaining that he was distracted by his online chess match. Evelyn accuses him of being more interested in his phone than running a clean cafe. She says she won't forgive him if anything happens to Cerberus. At the bistro, Ibiza events promoter Crystal Hyde hands her business card to Ryan when she hears he used to DJ there. Dee-Dee overhears Paul on the phone to the bank transferring £500 to Gemma's account for the wedding venue. At the private clinic, Carla looks forward to easing herself back into work. Peter's forced to tell her about the no confidence vote. Cerberus's test results show that the dog is suffering from kidney failure. The vet tells Evelyn that treatment is unlikely to improve his condition due to his age. With great reluctance, Evelyn authorises Cerberus being put down.

Part Three: A tearful Evelyn says goodbye to Cerberus. Damon shows up at the bistro and offers Nick a truce, saying he's put his family through enough. Paul admits to Dee-Dee that he took out a loan and will pay it off with the compensation money. Evelyn looks away as Cerberus is put to sleep. Tyrone has to leave the room as it reminds him of losing Monica. Carla decides not to fight for the factory and concentrate on getting better. Paul tells Dr Gaddas there's been no improvment in his hand. She refers him to a neurologist. Nick thinks Damon's offer is too good to be true but Sarah urges him to accept the offer of peace. Stephen demands that Rufus expand into America as the factory is losing money. Rufus enjoys seeing him panicking. Roy realises what's happened when he sees Evelyn and Tyrone arrive home with Cerberus's collar and lead. Alya texts Ryan saying she has to work and can't meet him. He thinks she isn't bothered about him.

Part Four: Evelyn contains her emotions as she mourns Cerberus. Hope is sad that she didn't get a chance to say goodbye. Damon asks Sarah go to Paris with him now that he's done what she asked. She refuses, certain that he has something else up his sleeve. Tyrone assures Roy that Cerberus's kidneys were packing up, regardless of the Eccles cake. Alya is jumpy following the stabbing. A randy Sarah clears Adam's desk and has sex with him in the office. Crystal arrives at the Rovers for a date with Ryan, who called her after Alya stood him up. Roy feels completely responsible for Cerberus's death. Paul is pleased about the referral as it will mean more compensation. Roy throws himself on Evelyn's mercy, offering no excuses for his negligence. Evelyn tells him he killed Cerberus and their friendship died with the greyhound.
