Plot[]

Part One: Peter reminds a reluctant Carla that she has an appointment with Dr Gaddas. Sarah prepares for the Underworld meeting on the American Nippersnapper deal. Adam bemoans that he's lost another client. Daisy contacts her wedding suppliers to tell them about Justin's arrest and get them back on board. Carla describes to Dr Gaddas how each time she’s suffered an episode, it feels like she’s tripping on drugs. The doctor prescribes the reluctant patient with diazepam. Beth refuses to put in a good word for Glenda with Marco who realises that she still fancies him. Carla angrily rejects Stephen's offer to lead the meeting on the American deal. A despondent Nick admits to Sarah that neither Sam nor Leanne want anything to do with him. Daisy is delighted when both the caterers and dressmakers agree to supply her again, but her happiness is short-lived when Craig breaks the news that Justin has been charged with assault but released on bail.

Part Two: Daisy finds it impossible to be calmed by Craig's reassurances. Owen and Angelique arrive for the meeting and Carla undermines Stephen by ordering him to make the tea. Beth is jealous when Fiz and Kirk reminisce over the time he proposed to her. Stephen double doses Carla’s tea. Daniel tries to bring Daisy out of her depression. As the meeting draws to a close and the LSD kicks in, Carla’s behaviour becomes erratic and Stephen has to cover for her. Sarah announces to the delighted workforce that they have a deal, and they begin to celebrate with champagne as Carla starts to suffer her worst trip yet. Adam tells Dee-Dee that the law firm is in a parlous financial state. Sally tries to speak up for Tim, but Faye is unsympathetic and walks out of the celebrations. Stephen stirs things up by telling the staff that Carla has a mental health issue. When Daisy spots a delivery van on the street, she suffers a panic attack. Ryan spots her distress and offers to chat with her. Tim points out to Faye that if she passes up the opportunity to get to know Miley, she’ll regret it for the rest of her life but she makes it clear that she doesn’t care. The Underworld staff are interrupted by a worse for wear Carla who barks at them to get out of her factory.

Part Three: As the bemused staff leave for the Rovers, Stephen offers to stay and make sure that Carla is okay. Sally goes to fetch Peter. Daisy opens up to Ryan about how she’s continually looking over her shoulder. He takes her for a coffee. Craig tells Faye that Tim has a right to see his granddaughter and she ought to give him a chance to explain. Daisy asks Ryan about him and Alya and is reminded that she is the one who drove them apart. Summoned by Sally, Peter finds Carla in a collapsed state in her office. Sarah annoys Leanne when she visits and brings Nick with her. Dee-Dee offers to work extra hours to bring the business round. Unwilling to listen, Leanne tells Nick and Sarah to leave. Kirk assures Beth that she can trust him around Fiz, saying that lots of former couples remain friends. Rufus sees Peter and Stephen escorting Carla back to the flat and recognises the symptoms of a bad trip.

Part Four: Stephen has to persuade Peter not to take Carla to hospital and is thanked for his help. Faye calls on her grateful dad. Beth looks over texts from Marco. Stephen reports back to the staff on Carla, stirring things up again regarding her health. Rufus joins them, giving Stephen a knowing look. Glenda finds Beth texting Marco in the Rovers’ yard and advises caution. Faye admits to her dad that she does want to meet Miley but is scared that her daughter won’t like her. Rufus tells Stephen he knows he’s spiking Carla to make it look as though she’s gone mad and threatens to tell her everything. Stephen counters with repeating his blackmail to tell Rufus’s wife about the escorts and is taken aback to hear that she has left him. Pointing out that Stephen no longer has a hold over him, Rufus makes it clear that he now controls him.
