Plot[]
Part One: The factory bosses prepare for a Nippersnapper presentation at the Chariot Square Hotel. Stephen observes a couple of lads selling drugs at the precinct. Dr Gaddas tells Paul he might have a bruised nerve which could take up to twelve weeks to heal. He goes after Carla for lost earnings. Aaron says he was on the phone to his dad when Amy complains about being kept awake by him talking into the early hours. Sally thinks Faye will regret not seeing Miley. Carla admits to Peter that she wasn't insured to drive the van when she hit Paul. Daisy looks for another wedding hairstylist when theirs cancels because of repetitive strain injury. Kevin finds out Bill's had a heart attack. Amy gets Aaron to admit that he was actually talking to his ex-girlfriend, Mia, last night. He says he's just helping her through a tough time but Amy demands he tell Summer. Peter offers Paul a £15,000 pay-off for the accident if he drops the case against Carla. Paul is dazzled by the offer and accepts. Dee-Dee advises him to return it as it's less than a year's wages and he could be out of work longer. Stephen laces Carla's tea with LSD at the factory.
Part Two: With Gemma busy, Sally volunteers to mind Glory later. Stephen's frustrated as he and Sarah have finished their teas while Carla hasn't touched hers. Jenny sets up a wedding hair consultation for Daisy with Maria. Daisy's dismissive, suggesting that Maria's over-the-hill. Maria hears her slagging her off and is offended. Carla takes a sip of her tea but spits it out, complaining that it contains full fat milk. Stephen realises he's given her the wrong mug, meaning he or Sarah have drunk LSD. Summer sees a text from Mia on Aaron's phone thanking him for last night. Stephen thinks Sarah took the LSD when she arrives at the hotel feeling light-headed. Paul gives the £15k back to Peter. Rufus Donahue isn't happy that Carla is looking for an American distributor for Nippersnapper after he's signed an exclusivity deal for Europe. Kevin books a flight to Germany and lets Debbie know. Elaine attends the presentation to hear Stephen's speech. As he takes the stage, his vision becomes blurred and he starts to sweat profusely. He realises with horror that he must have taken the LSD.
Part Three: Stephen carries on, despite his bedraggled appearance and laboured speech. Looking up from the podium to see Leo and Teddy in the audience, he staggers out of the room in terror. Sarah takes over. Carla admits to Paul and Dee-Dee that she wasn't insured for the van. Dee-Dee says they'll have to sue her directly. Aaron tells Summer that Mia was in a state and reached out to him. He admits that he was really talking to her last night but assures her that's as far as it's gone. Daisy apologises to Maria for being a cow. Maria notices the constant pinging from Daisy's phone. Michael drops Glory off at No.4. Sally pretends she has an errand to run, leaving Glory with Faye. Brian tells Amy and Summer that he'll be moving back into his flat tomorrow. Summer is puzzled when Amy says Aaron was laughing and joking on the phone as Aaron told her that Mia was in bits. Stephen makes it to his hotel room and barks at the cleaner to get out. He's traumatised as he relives Leo and Teddy's murders. Collapsing into a crumpled heap on the floor, he sees his victims standing over him and tells them he's sorry. A concerned Debbie knocks on the door.
Part Four: Debbie assumes Stephen has had too much to drink. Daisy tells Maria about her ordeal with Justin. Maria is shocked and urges her to keep on the at the police until they help her. Debbie gets into Stephen's room using the master key. Elaine, thinking he's having a nervous breakdown, goes in and takes care of him. Summer is annoyed to hear that Aaron shared their personal problems with Mia. They row when he accuses her of being jealous. Faye tells Sally that her ploy hasn't worked and tersely asks her to respect her decision. The LSD begins to wear off. Elaine thinks Stephen is working too hard and suggests it's time to think about retirement. Debbie and Kevin prepare to fly out to Germany. Sarah tells Carla that the presentation went brilliantly, saying nothing about Stephen's disaster. Elaine tells a dazed Stephen she wants to live her life to the full with someone special by her side for keeps. When he replies that it would be perfect, she takes it as a proposal and says yes.
