Plot[]
Part One: Daniel agrees to try and find out how Max is coping at the secure training centre for David's sake. The Nazirs get emotional about Zeedan's departure. Carla feels loads better and considers returning to the factory. Paul tells Dee-Dee that Billy kissed him but they can't be together as there are too many complications. She assumes he's talking about Todd. Peter calls at the factory to pick up some files for Carla. Stephen is alarmed to learn that she's planning on coming back and, forming a plan, tells Peter he'll bring the files over himself. Dee-Dee urges Billy to reassure Paul he isn't getting back with Todd. An overhearing Todd realises that Paul's reluctance is due to his guilt over letting him take the blame for hitting Mike Hargrave. Max is beaten up in his room by the two lads.
Part Two: Nursing facial injuries, Max is annoyed when his case worker June Bryson insists she has to report the assault to David. Daisy is thrilled to receive a parcel of complementary pin badges for wedding favours. David doesn't think Max is being looked after at the STC when they call him and drinks away his troubles at the Rovers. Jenny eventually stops serving him. Zeedan leaves the street for London. Daisy receives a voicemail from Justin saying he delivered her parcel and got her number from the delivery label. Stephen calls at the Barlows' flat with the file for Carla and spikes her glass of water with LSD while her back is turned. Gary and Maria find David drunk and alone at Victoria Gardens. Gary has a go at him over the trauma Max has caused Maria but storms off when Maria defends David. Alya goes into work to take her mind off Zeedan leaving. Finding out that the client, Jayden Beck, is accused of stabbing someone, she goes berserk and describes to Jayden what it's like to be stabbed. Maria gives David some friendly encouragement. She's stunned when he leans in for a kiss.
Part Three: David apologises to Maria and they agree to pretend it never happened. Stephen talks shop with Carla until the LSD takes effect. As Carla starts to feel dizzy, Peter calls a doctor. Jayden drops Adam as his solicitor. Alya is relieved when Adam doesn't fire her for losing them the case, but he insists she sort herself out. Daisy blocks Justin's number but doesn't think it'll do any good as he'll just use another phone. Jenny advises her to carry a weapon. Todd encourages Paul to tell Billy the truth, as he's a forgiving person. David asks Alya to speak to Max and make him see that he doesn't belong in prison. She refuses to get involved. Peter tells Stephen that he'll keep Carla up-to-speed with factory business in future. David is shocked when Shona turns up at Speed Daal.
Part Four: Shona explains that she heard about the assault on Max from Sarah and got the next train up from London with Lily. She assures him that from now on, they face everything together. Alya unburdens herself on Ryan at the bistro. He tells her she should write it down in her victim personal statement. Maria can't bring herself to lie to Gary and tells him about the attempted kiss. Paul comes clean to Billy about attacking Mike and Todd taking the rap for him. Billy agrees not to turn him in and asks if they can try again. They're reconciled. Gary hunts for David and relishes telling Shona everything when he sees them at the Rovers. A furious Shona leaves David at his mercy. David assures Gary that Maria didn't reciprocate and manages to calm him down. Alya and Ryan snuggle up at No.6 and end up kissing passionately. Humiliated by what David did, Shona packs and leaves him.
