Plot[]
Part One: Sarah and Michael's business venture has received its first order. Daryan calls into Roy's Rolls with some flyers promoting the refugee drop-in session at Speed Daal and suggests to Max he might like to join them. Max is loudly disparaging and stalks out. Gary offers Maria help at the session, nervous that she is a target for radicals, but she refuses his protection. Telling Evelyn that she’s off to stay with her mum overnight, Fiz leaves with a packed case. Evelyn’s concerned when Tyrone fails to kiss his wife goodbye. Tim listens in as Stephen tells Elaine that she should receive his first repayment today and he’d like to buy her dinner as he’s aware he’s neglected her recently. Maria upbraids Gary when he castigates David for not being enough to disabuse Max of his radical ideas. Evelyn sees Tyrone being friendly with Judy Honeycutt, the lady who sold him Cilla the chinchilla and accuses him of playing away again. Daisy receives a box of chocolates with a card saying “Sorry” and she and Jenny assume they’re from her mum. Maria offers David help with Max, saying to bring him to the refugee drop-in centre, but Gary tries to warn her that the lad is a lost cause. Evelyn sees a well-dressed Tyrone climbing into a car. Convinced he’s about to embark on another affair, she tells Roy to fire up the Woody as they need to put a stop to his caper.
Part Two: Speed Daal is set up for the session. Gemma shows Lisa, a potential client, around No.5, but it’s soon clear that she’s not happy with Gemma’s lack of childcare qualifications. Much to Jenny's displeasure, Christina introduces herself to Stephen as soon as he enters the Rovers. Stephen lies to Jenny that Teddy has told him that he has made contact with Leo in Canada but they wish for no contact from her, wanting a fresh start. She refuses a drink with him. Daisy hands Christina the chocolates back. Evelyn and Roy keep a vigil on Tyrone from across the bar of the Chariot Square Hotel. They watch as a blonde lady parks herself at Tyrone’s table and he squeezes her thigh. Evelyn’s horrified. David prepares tea, oblivious to Max on his phone as he watches Blake on a live podcast outside Speed Daal delivering a racist rant and promising to put a stop to the drop-in session. David snatches the phone to make him see to the dog. Justin approaches a startled Daisy outside No.1 and reveals that he sent the chocolates. Daisy’s shocked. Blake heads into a crowded Speed Daal, secretly filming himself, and threatening action that will put him in the news.
Part Three: Christina thinks Daisy is being dramatic in labelling Justin a stalker. David and Max bicker over his confiscated phone. Maria makes a thank-you speech to the assembled crowd. As she finishes, Blake produces a knife. With Roy in tow, Evelyn confronts the couple, only to find the blonde woman is Fiz in a wig, role-playing with her husband. Carla orders a fuming Stephen to help Kirk out in packing. David gives Max his phone back. He goes back onto Blake's podcast, sees the knife and sprints round to the restaurant. There, he finds things seemingly in order. Gary sees him present and grabs him, ordering him to leave. Daryan sees Blake's knife and shouts out a warning. As Blake rushes forward, Alya intervenes and is stabbed. Daryan's hands are cut as he wrestles with Blake. Gary tries to subdue the attacker as Alya collapses.
Part Four: Yasmeen begs for help for her granddaughter as Dee-Dee empties the premises and calls the police. Tim and Dev praise the ChesBurger. The emergency services arrive as Yasmeen and Maria attend to a fast-sinking Alya. Evelyn disparages Fiz and Tyrone's attempts to spice up their marriage, posing as "Lance" and "Penelope". Alya recovers in an ambulance. As Blake is led away by the police, he tells Max that he was his inspiration. Gary accuses Max of being in on the attack. He runs home where David has just received a phone call from Sarah telling him what happened. Stephen comes face to face with an old business associate, Dick Havisham. When Carla explains that Stephen’s a junior manager of hers and is helping out in packing, Stephen’s utterly humiliated. Evelyn regrets that she has had a life with little spice in it. Fiz and Tyrone decide to be less adventurous in their role plays from hereon in. Elaine tells Stephen that his payment has come through as well as her house sale. He is still more interested in Jenny. Daisy makes it clear to Christina that she's not welcome at the wedding. Alya is taken into surgery with a punctured lung.
