Plot[]
Part One: Summer is still recovering in hospital as Billy, Paul and Aaron watch over her. PC Hunt tells them that the Hargraves have alleged that Summer lied about being pregnant to extort money from them. Daisy draws up a wedding guest list. Her side is made up mainly of social media influencers as she tells Jenny and Daniel that she lost touch with all her real friends. Elaine asks Stephen if would like to meet for a meal later, but he tries to put her off. She’s worried that he’s been off with her since she lent him the money and he has to rapidly change his mind about meeting her. Leanne is concerned that they have no bookings in the bistro. Nick asks Ryan to find out more about Damon’s Ibiza arrangements. Paul tells Todd about the police’s investigations. Teddy overhears as Stephen tells Gail that Elaine is reading more into their friendship than there is. Damon tells Nick and Leanne they should think up ways to drum up more business. When Summer is alone, Mike appears by her hospital bedside.
Part Two: Mike makes Summer an offer that they both retract their statements, but she refuses. His manner scares her. Todd and Paul appear on the scene and find out how he alarmed her. Paul runs after him as Mike makes his getaway. Nick confronts Damon with Jacob’s allegation that he was behind the drugs coming into the bistro. He puts on a show of being hurt by his son’s lies. Paul spots Mike in the hospital car park but he speeds away in his vehicle. Despite Todd’s entreaties, Paul gives chase in the builder’s van. Daniel asks Jenny for details of any of Daisy’s former friends, intending to invite them to the wedding as a surprise. Chesney reminds Tyrone of how Schmeichel got him through some tough times, giving him an idea. Teddy parks himself on Elaine and Stephen’s table without invitation. Ryan passes on the news to a worried Nick that Damon was involved in drugs, extortion, and hospitalising an Ibiza club rival. Tyrone suggests to Hope and Ruby that they get a pet. As they rush off to buy one, Fiz warns them that they’re to get a fish and nothing else. As an angry Elaine storms out of the Rovers, Teddy reveals to Stephen that he stepped in to help having overheard his complaints. Daisy offers the men some mulled wine, which leads to Teddy suddenly having a flashback to the accident. Paul and Todd catch up with Mike outside his house. Paul is enraged when Mike makes lewd suggestions about Paul and Summer’s relationship. Paul pushes him to the ground, knocking him out.
Part Three: Paul panics that he’s killed Mike. After examining him, Todd rings an ambulance for the recovering man, and then they speed away. The spicy smell of the mulled wine made Teddy remembering seeing Stephen at the Victoria Street Christmas market but no more. A tearful Summer tells Billy about Mike’s visit. Dr Chatterjee tells her she's being discharged. Todd and Billy have made it back to the Rovers. Todd is worried that Paul will end up back in jail. Nick confronts Damon and asserts that he won’t allow drugs in the bistro. Damon spells out that he’s no choice unless he wants to deal with his associates. Tyrone and the girls return from the pet shop with Cilla the chinchilla. Fiz is unimpressed. Daisy is appalled to see that Daniel has been searching for her old friends through her school’s website. Leanne and Damon agree on a lunchtime deal promotion. Nick lies to Ryan that he has contacts in Ibiza who have given Damon good references. Todd sympathises that Paul’s dealing with Mike’s machinations seem to have reminded him of Kel. He feels guilty as Paul tells him that the only peace he's had in recent years was when he and Billy were a couple.
Part Four: Summer is relieved when Todd texts to say that he and Paul are okay. As Stephen watches on anxiously, Teddy can remember no more of his visit to Canada. Fiz complains about the cost and cleaning of Cilla but is happy when Hope bonds with the animal and announces she’s changing her surname to Dobbs. Daisy explains to Daniel that her friends let her down badly after Tom Midgeley died. Getting his feet under the table in the bistro’s office, Damon is dismissive of Nick’s request that he keep away from Leanne. The police turn up to question Paul. To protect him, Todd steps in and takes the blame for pushing Mike. Stephen is delighted when Teddy announces he’s returning to Canada to search for Leo again. Todd is arrested and taken away.
