Plot[]

Part One: Mike returns home in the early hours. Summer remains locked in the nursery. Aaron and Billy realise she's missing when they both ask after her. Billy is concerned as her glucose app isn't updating. Damon pays for Carla's coffee at the cafe. Hope listens to the John Stape cassette over and over. She tells Sam that he sounds nice and not at all like a murderer. Fiz shuts Hope down when she asks about John's favourite things. The girl is devastated when the cassette player chews the tape. Leanne's annoyed that Jacob hasn't turned up for his shift at the bistro. Nick keeps his counsel. Mike tries to convince Summer that Esther doesn't need to know about Callum. He reminds her that she also betrayed Esther by not being forthcoming about the miscarriage. Summer's unconvinced. Mike opens the nursery door to give Summer a can of pop but she's immediately locked in again when Mike sees Aaron approaching on the CCTV and scurries downstairs.

Part Two: Aaron calls at the house looking for Summer. Mike tells him she stayed the night and has gone into town with Esther. Aaron's suspicions are aroused when Mike refuses to give him Esther's phone number. Tyrone fixes the cassette tape to cheer Hope up. Amy tells Leanne and Simon about her split from Jacob. Mike opens the nursery door and finds Summer collapsed on the floor. Fiz and Tyrone test the tape, believing it to be a mixtape from Sam, and are stunned when John's voice fills the room. Jenny loads Rita's car with bags to donate to the charity shop but her boot isn't big enough. Rita takes up Stephen's offer to take them in Audrey's car. Daisy receives another bouquet of flowers from Justin the DJ. Mike doesn't call an ambulance for Summer. Aaron tells Billy and Paul that he thinks Mike was lying. Esther arrives home and finds Mike leaning over Summer's unconscious body.

Part Three: Esther calls an ambulance, furious with her husband for endangering Summer's life. Daisy tells Daniel that the flowers were from a florist she's thinking of booking for the wedding. Hearing that Mike may have lied about Summer's whereabouts, Todd tells Billy and Paul that Mike cheated on Esther and Summer knew. Fiz and Tyrone agree that trying to stop Hope from knowing about John isn't working. Rita thinks Stephen is a gentleman and lets him take her to the Rovers. Sam tells Fiz and Tyrone that Hope listens to the tape as it makes her feel close to John. Aggie sees Summer being wheeled into A&E. She's stunned when the Hargraves tell the doctor that she's an orphan from their church group and provide a fake name. Feeling terrible for lying to Daniel, Daisy texts Justin and tells him to leave her alone. Aaron, Billy and Paul arrive at the hospital after being called by Aggie. They confront the Hargraves about their lies.

Part Four: Mike tries to play it as a misunderstanding. He tells Billy and Paul that Summer collapsed when she and Esther got back to the house. Aggie insists she knows what she heard and suggests they check the doctor's notes if they don't believe her. Fiz and Tyrone tell Hope they know about the tape. They assures her that she's not in trouble and offer to answer all of her questions about John. Hope's thrilled when they let her root through the bag of John Stape things. Damon feigns surprise when Amy tells him that Jacob's doing drugs again. Carla overhears their conversation. Todd arrives at the hospital after speaking to Ava and finding out about Callum. He tells Aaron, Billy, Paul and Esther about Mike's love child. A furious Esther hits back at her husband by telling the dads that Mike locked Summer in the nursery overnight. Carla tells Amy she's sorry about Jacob and encourages her not to let it keep her down. Fiz and Hope listen to the tape together, while at the Rovers Evelyn assures Tyrone that Hope will get over her infatuation with John. Rita advises Jenny to go for it with Stephen but Jenny thinks he's interested in Elaine. Summer comes to and tells the police everything.
