Plot[]
Part One: Daniel starts at the secure training centre. DJ Teativo texts Daisy suggesting that they meet up. A hung-over Daisy deletes their selfie from her socials and hopes that Daniel didn't see it. Jacob asks Amy if she'd consider running away with him and starting again. She realises he's in trouble and asks what's wrong but he can't bring himself to tell her. Maria celebrates when the council agrees to discuss a new refugee centre in the area. She agrees to front the campaign. Todd receives a call from Ava Haynes, a member of the congregation of Mike and Esther's old church. Gail finds Max bunking off school. He tells her it's because everyone knows he was involved with the bombing. Gail suggests he shows the other kids that he's not on Griff's side. Daisy asks Glenda not to tell Daniel that she flirted with the DJ. Todd shocks Summer by telling her that Ava is claiming to have had an affair with Mike a couple of years ago.
Part Two: Summer doesn't approve of Todd investigating the Hargraves but it's clear the revelation has given her pause for thought. Jacob considers telling the police about the drug operation in order to protect Amy. Damon tells him that the only way to keep her safe is to disappear. Maria tries to enlist the support of local business owners for the refugee centre. Summer meets with Esther and is sickened to learn that Ava's allegations are true. Jacob tells Nick that Damon is smuggling cocaine through the bistro. He confesses to his part in the drug smuggling operation and says he's leaving without telling Amy the truth. Having completed his first day teaching at the youth prison, Daniel tells Daisy that he did see the selfie. He suspects there's more to it due to her deleting it. Summer sees Ava at the precinct to get her side of the story. She's stunned when Ava tells her that she has a son with Mike and Esther doesn't know. Jacob is about to finish with Amy by text when she arrives home. Determined to end their relationship to keep her safe, Jacob pretends he's gone back to his old ways and is dealing drugs again.
Part Three: Jacob makes out that he went back to drugs because Amy is such a demanding girlfriend. She takes him at his word and storms out, broken-hearted. Daisy tries to set Daniel's mind at ease, making out that the DJ is gay, but he's unconvinced. Summer confronts Mike about his love child. Mike tells her it was a mistake and assures her that Callum wants for nothing. Summer asks him if Leanne was another mistake, suspecting there are other women. Amy returns to Jacob and offers to help him get out of the game again. He tells her he doesn't want to be with her anymore. She calls him a loser for proving all his doubters right. Only the Nazirs, Steve, Toyah and Spider show up at the refugee centre meeting, with others being scared to make themselves a target. Summer decides that she can't have a baby for a couple who aren't committed to each other. She marches upstairs to the nursery to tell Esther about Callum only to find that Esther isn't there. Mike locks her in from the outside.
Part Four: Todd has an underwhelming 38th birthday, with nobody taking any notice of the event. Daniel asks to speak to Daisy in private. Expecting a row, she's thrilled when he shows her the brochure for Charlesworth Hall, the posh wedding venue and reveals that he has managed to book the time off and the wedding is set for 8th May. Jacob makes a last-ditch attempt to salvage the life he's built up in Weatherfield, asking Damon if the buyers will let him work off the debt. Damon refuses to ask and threatens to bury him himself if he sees him on the street again. Utterly defeated, Jacob leaves in a taxi. Steve and Tracy comfort a distraught Amy. Daisy receives a bouquet of flowers from the DJ. She hides the card and hands the flowers to Daniel, making out she bought them for him. Mike gets a call from Esther asking him to help her look after her dad in Sheffield. Summer is horrified when he goes off, leaving her without access to her phone or insulin.
