Plot[]

Part One: Roy prepares to go on his latest VBRV accreditation trip with Brian to Medlock Woods as Lily sits in the cafe with her new earpods in, watching one of Max’s far-right propaganda videos. Asha thinks it would be nice for her and Nina should go with Roy. Billy is disappointed when Summer reveals that despite being back with Aaron, he is fully behind her surrogacy plans. Lily shows the video to Eliza. Evelyn asks Roy for a lift to Urmston see a friend and won't take no for an answer when Brian intervenes. Having returned from Norway with Sam, Audrey is full of stories of having dinner at the captain's table on the boat. Jenny plans to visit Teddy later in the hospital and Stephen offers to go with her. Gemma looks over celebrity wedding photos online, jealous that she's never been married. Brian and Nina get a message saying the meeting has been cancelled and they realise they have no way of getting in touch with Roy. Having been sent a copy of Max's video, Stu asks to view it when he sees Eliza giggling over it. He doesn't like what he sees.

Part Two: Unable to contact anyone who lives near the woods, Brian, Nina and Asha realise they've got to go there themselves and find Roy. Bernie sees that Gemma is down and she tells her and Paul that Chesney is making no attempts to arrange their own nuptials. Bernie advises her to take charge and start organising it herself. James contacts David and tells him that a women's coach in London has seen a video of Lily playing and wants her to go there for a six-week residential course and trials. Stu calls at No.8 about the video. Having arrived at the woods, Roy drops his thermos in the river. At Mike and Esther’s house, Summer answers the door to bailiffs. As they start gathering up items, Summer’s horrified and rings Mike. Arriving at the woods, Roy, Nina, Asha and Brian spot his car and head off towards the river to look for him. When Mike and Esther return, Summer demands to know what is going on. Billy, Todd and Paul have a council of war about what to do with the surrogacy. Shona promises David to talk to Lily. Night has fallen as the search for Roy continues. Nina is shocked when she spots Roy’s thermos in the water. She makes her way down the bank but she slips, bangs her head and rolls into the water.

Part Three: With Nina unconscious, Brian gets Asha to ring an ambulance while he pulls the girl out of the water. Mike admits to Summer how the IVF treatment and financial misfortunes have all but bankrupted them. Summer leaves the arguing couple behind. Mike storms out for a drink. Brian's desperate CPR brings Nina round. David listens in as Shona sympathetically talks to Lily. Over tea, Billy tells Summer that he’d like to accompany her to her appointment with the surrogacy consultant as he lies to her that he intends to support her in any way he can. Having heard the ambulance, Roy appears out of the trees. The paramedics take her to hospital. Jenny and Stephen visit Teddy and think he is still unconscious, but when Teddy suddenly opens his eyes, Stephen masks his panic. David and Shona think it's better that Shona goes to London with Lily while he's around in case Max comes home. Teddy tells Jenny that he can remember what happened.

Part Four: Despite his assertion, Teddy can't remember any of the details. Stephen passes on the lie that Leo said he wanted nothing to do with his old life. Gemma insists that she and Chesney go looking at wedding venues. Nina is taken for a CT scan. Roy hears from an angry Asha that the accident happened because they couldn't contact him. Chesney shows no enthusiasm over the bistro as a venue. Leanne slaps down Mike when he tries to chat her up at the bar. Roy and Asha are told that the scan shows no harm to Nina who is being kept in overnight. Asha feels guilty that she froze while Brian did the rescuing and decides to become a paramedic. Gemma is depressed that Chesney claims venues are outside of their budget. Nina realises that Roy has been avoiding her hospital bed, feeling wretched over spurning her gift of the phone, and she has to assure him that she bears him no ill will.
