Plot[]

Part One: Jenny comes running out of the Rovers as Nick rings an ambulance for Teddy. Sally sees Carla at the appointed time and is given a lecture about honesty and is told not to talk about her behind her back in the future. Carla sniggers to herself as Sally slinks away. Nina tells Roy he's not a technophobe and therefore he's just putting on a tiresome pompous act. Todd asks George what he knows about Lindsey's family and shows him the newspaper coverage about her death on a hiking accident in Switzerland. He suspects Laurence of something nefarious. George warns him off telling Sean. Carla calls into the Rovers for an evening drink and buys one for Sally and Faye, who tells her about her New Year's Eve plans. At the hospital, Stephen is told that his statement tallies with that given by Nick. Summer is annoyed that Esther rang Billy. He tells her that he's had some thinking time and now supports her being a surrogate. She's puzzled when he tells her that she blocked him reading the diabetes app and agrees to return home. Teddy is on life-support but the doctor tells Jenny and Stephen that there is a good chance that he will survive. At the Rovers, Sean refuses to listen to Todd's allegations. Jenny needs some air and leaves Stephen alone with Teddy.

Part Two: Stephen goes to interfere with Teddy's tubes, but Jenny returns before he can succeed. Rita and Mary listen in eagerly while Sean gives in to listen to what Todd has to say. Asha and Nina go for a night out. Sean is angry with Todd's insinuations after reading the Gazette report and throws him out of the pub. Peter tells Carla he got out of covering the cab office at New Year but she's disappointed that they're not doing anything special. Paul is pleased to see Summer back. Billy tells him that in reality he's not happy about the surrogacy. Stephen is perturbed when Jenny passes on the news that if Teddy makes it through the night, he should recover. Having heard from Sean, Laurence visits Todd and makes it clear that he's to mind his own business. Stephen rings Mr Messineo and settles for £10,000, saying that as soon as he receives it, he's leaving the country for good.
