Plot[]
Part One: Fiz readies herself for a lousy Christmas when Tyrone 'forgets' to buy the turkey and suggests a takeaway instead. Daniel shows Jenny the engagement ring and asks for Daisy's hand in marriage. She enthusiastically approves. Spider makes Toyah believe that he really is a detective when he explains that his friend was killed by a far-right mob at an anti-fascist protest in South America, and he realised that protesting alone isn't enough to make a difference in the world. She realises he protected her when she confessed to killing Imran. Sean, Laurence, Dylan and Todd move the sofa out of No.11 while George keeps Eileen distracted. Spider tells Toyah about the explosion and Max being hurt. She thinks David should be told but he insists that everything he's said has to stay between them. Mary looks for someone to go carol singing with when Glenda lets her down. Brian is her last hope but he already has plans with Alex. Toyah is about to tell David and Shona where Max is when Spider walks into the cafe.
Part Two: Unable to betray Spider, Toyah just warns the Platts to keep Max away from Griff. Steve and Daniel decorate the scaffolding with Christmas lights to make it less of an eyesore but manage to make it look worse. Beth gets Fiz's wedding dress ready for Tyrone. He's forced to cancel the pictures with Fiz for Hope and Ruby's dress fittings, telling Fiz he needs them to help him pick her present. Max makes Griff admit that it wasn't a camping stove that exploded but Griff turns it around, accusing him of accidentally setting off the bomb himself. The police arrive to question Max about the explosion.
Part Three: The police report that a farmer witnessed the explosion and called it in. Max admits that he was caught up in it but attributes it to a faulty camping stove. Eileen realises that George is trying to stop her from going home. He admits that her Christmas present is being delivered and he doesn't want to spoil the surprise. Damon gives Jacob £500 to buy Amy something flash for Christmas. The Barlows discover they've been burgled, and all the Christmas presents have been stolen, including Daisy's engagement ring. Daniel tells Jenny he's not going to propose without it. Fiz laments to Maria that it's shaping up to be the worst Christmas ever. Spider thanks Toyah for keeping his secret but says they can't be together as he can't protect her.
Part Four: Daisy goes last-minute shopping for Bertie while Daniel tells his son that Christmas won't be everything he hopes for. Jacob buys Sam an expensive chess set to build bridges with Leanne. Meeting up at the bistro, Brian and Alex discover that they both turned down invites under the impression that the other is lonely. Brian dashes off to join a delighted Mary carol singing. No.11's new couch is handed to George; he's accidentally purchased a sofa for a doll's house. Spider brings Max home from hospital and urges him to be around people who care about him. David and Shona are shocked to see him covered in bandages but Shona stops David from interrogating his son. Amy is thrilled with her leather handbag from Jacob. Toyah tells Spider she doesn't need protecting and wants to be with him. They kiss. Aggie gives the Barlows presents from under the Baileys' tree, including some of Glory's for Bertie, in exchange for them de-lighting the scaffolding. Tyrone and Fiz look ahead to Christmas Day.
