Plot[]
Part One: Gail looks up 'Six Fellas'. Tim is offended when Steve gives him a paltry £10 from his scratchcard winnings to show there's no hard feelings. Stephen asks Elaine not to mention the moped incident to anyone. Tim's intrigued to see them together. Dylan suggests to Sean that he invite Laurence to No.11 for Christmas. Hope returns to school as her suspension ends. Tyrone's embarrassed when the school counsellor assumes that he and Fiz are Mr and Mrs Stape. Munir tells Maria that Weatherfield isn't the right location for the refugee centre as the community clearly doesn't want it. Alya discovers that Griff's petition was signed by loads of fake accounts but Munir pulls out anyway, concerned that the gang will cause trouble. Stephen helps Sarah and Michael prepare for a pitch meeting with a potential investor. Tyrone decides that it's time he and Fiz were married and gets down on one knee in the cafe, telling Fiz he'll never let her go again. She happily accepts his proposal.
Part Two: Eileen gets a cup of hot coffee over her when Tim and Steve fight over Tim's favourite mug in the cab office. Yasmeen encourages Maria not to accept defeat and suggests they make their own petition in favour of the refugee centre. At her wit's end, Eileen drags Steve and Tim to the solicitors' office and instructs Adam to hold a mediation meeting. Sean asks Laurence to spend Christmas with him and Dylan. Stephen lies to the Platts, making out he had one too many, fell on his arm and crashed at a friend's for the night. Maria addresses the Christmas market committee, proposing that they have a stall for the refugee centre petition. Councillor Cameron argues that it's intrusive and opposes her idea of renaming it the Winter market due to it running into January. She presses on despite his objections. Stephen retrieves his phone from No.8. Gail tells him about the call from Mr Messineo and asks him if he was working as a delivery boy in Bolton.
Part Three: Stephen tells Gail that he was thinking of investing in a pizza delivery business. He explains that one of their drivers crashed into him and now the owner is blaming him for the moped being written off. Sarah and Michael's pitch meeting goes badly. The Grimshaws are mostly pleased to hear Laurence will be spending Christmas with them but George clocks Todd's unease. Maria finds out that someone told the Gazette she's trying to cancel Christmas. She accuses Len of running to the press. He tells her it wasn't him but that he supports whoever did. Audrey and Gail pressure Stephen to invest in Sarah and Michael's business. He isn't keen. Tim quizzes Stephen about his intentions towards Elaine. Stephen says they're just friends. Fiz and Tyrone tell the girls that they're getting married. Rory McDowd turns up at No.9. Sarah explains to Stephen that Tim is protective of Elaine because of how Geoff used to control her. Stephen agrees to cover Sarah and Michael's £12,000 start-up costs, even though he doesn't have the money.
Part Four: Rory expresses his regret over the trouble he's caused by writing the John Stape book and hands Fiz and Tyrone an envelope containing all of his research. They kick him out when he asks them to get their mates to take down their negative reviews of the book as it's not selling well. Maria meets with journalist Suki Waters to set the record straight. Adam chairs the mediation meeting at the Rovers. Steve argues that he bought the jacket fair and square but Tim counters that it was donated without his consent. George thinks Todd has a problem with Laurence, but assumes that it's out of concern for Sean. Adam rules that Steve is the rightful owner of the jacket and the scratchcard. Tim rages while Eileen and Tracy are embarrassed by the whole affair. Stephen uses Elaine's history with Geoff to his advantage by telling her how controlling Gabrielle is. She's immediately sympathetic. The Gazette runs its article on the Christmas market, calling Maria 'Local Cancellor'. The lady in question is furious to find out that the council are dropping the stall idea following a ton of complaints. Elaine considers giving Stephen the £12,000 when he tells her that Gabrielle controls his finances.
