Plot[]
Part One: Spider rings his boss to complain about the handling of the operation against Griff, saying someone could get killed soon. Nick complains about Spider being around their flat but Leanne points out his presence makes Toyah happy. Sam is impatient for news about Harvey. Alya and Yasmeen watch appalled footage that Griff has uploaded of the attack on Daryan, in which the voices have been disguised. Gemma apologises to Bernie for not believing her about Fern and tells her that No.5 is quiet without her. Spider gives a delighted Toyah an old picture of them that years before he put in a frame he made out of driftwood. She suggests that they start saving for a flat together. Ronnie asks a broker mate to hunt for a fair offer for Debbie’s half of the bistro. Debbie gives Nick one more week to raise his offer. Brian and Roy watch the footage of Griff's meeting and his subsequent arrest in which Roy is made to look foolish. They warn David that Max needs protection from Griff. Nick and Leanne can't raise any more funds. While Eliza prepares for their prison visit, Yasmeen’s quick to reassure a fretting Stu that he’s doing fine. Toyah sees the video of the attack on Daryan and recognises Spider despite his mask.
Part Two: Griff tells Spider that he doesn't trust him, just before the police turn up and arrest Spider. Bernie moves back to No.5, disappointing Dev. David joins Max and Lauren at the bus stop, saying he's going to join them and meet Griff. Yasmeen’s delighted to hear that Dee-Dee has offered Alya an exciting new job and urges her to seize the opportunity. Griff maintains his composure when David appears and they exchange icily polite conversation replete with double meanings. DS Swain lets Spider go, saying the powers-that-be have told her not to arrest Griff and to stop investigating him, which means there is something bigger waiting for. Spider steels himself to carry on with his double life. David outright accuses Griff of being a violent racist who grooms kids. After he refuses Griff's offer to be educated in his views, he leaves, but Max refuses to go with him. An angry Toyah tells Spider she saw the video.
Part Three: Toyah refuses to believe Spider's claims of innocence and throws him out. Griff praises Max's talent as he watches. Max accidentally finds the video of the attack on Daryan on Griff's laptop with the original sound. He recognises Dave and Reece's voices and is shocked to realise that Griff was there too. Leanne and Nick watch on as Debbie and Ronnie show the broker around, angry that she is seemingly reneging on her offer to give them a week. Griff tries to draw comparisons between Daryan and Chris for being people who don't show respect, saying that Daryan steals their resources and his girlfriend. Griff manages to talk an uneasy Max around. Leanne thinks Toyah must have got things wrong about Spider and she needs to hear him out. Debbie informs Nick that Ronnie’s broker reckons selling half a business is tricky and encourages him and Leanne to consider selling their share too. Griff is surprised when Spider walks into the Rovers. Spider tells Griff that he refused to rat on him, but Griff is adamant that he doesn't trust him anymore. Toyah walks in and accuses Griff. She is astonished when Spider stands up for him.
Part Four: In front of Griff, Spider tells Toyah they're over. Lauren makes excuses for the attack. Alya accepts Dee-Dee's job offer. Leanne drops the bombshell on Nick that Harvey has agreed to see Sam. Bernie cooks an awful meal for the Alahans, though Aadi quite likes it. Eliza’s subdued after visiting her mum. Yasmeen assures Stu he’s doing a wonderful job and Eliza’s lucky to have him. Max refuses to stop seeing Griff. David senses he's confused about something but Max refuses to open up to him. David warns him he must do as he's told while he's living with him. After his performance in front of Toyah, Griff tells Spider he trusts him again and he's back in with them. Toyah flings aside the picture that Spider gave her and breaks down in tears.
