Plot[]
Part One: Daryan calls to see Maria and she and Gary hear about the attack on him. Griff taunts Spider for not getting stuck in on Daryan when he was with the gang last night and starts to wonder why he's so keen to keep Max out of their affairs. A tearful Daryan reads out his statement for the Home Office application for asylum to Gary and Maria. Dev tries to be supportive as Bernie prepares to go to court. Nick and Leanne examine their finances and realise they can only make Debbie a low offer for her half of the bistro, and they doubt she’ll accept it. Spider listens on uncomfortably as Toyah, Gary, Maria, Roy and Shona discuss Daryan's attack. Alya and Yasmeen push Daryan to make a police complaint. Dee-Dee warns the Winters that the judge that Bernie is facing has a harsh reputation. She recommends pleading guilty as the doppelganger story won't be taken seriously. Max is surprised when told by Alya of the attack on Daryan but denies that his friends had anything to do with it. Alya warns him to wake up to the people he's associating with.
Part Two: The environmental meeting starts. Griff and his gang are in attendance along with Roy, Brian, Paul, Gary, Maria and other locals. Max films the proceedings. Griff begins on environmental matters and moves on to the indigenous wildlife being threatened by foreign invaders. Roy shows concern with some of his claims. Yasmeen helps Stu prepares Eliza's room before a visit by the social worker. Griff's talk moves on to immigration prompting Maria to intervene. Griff counters with the 20% increase in expense allowances she and her colleagues have just awarded themselves. She and Gary walk out. Roy quietly starts to pick apart Griff's environmental "facts" point by point. Howard calls at No.5 to wish Bernie well but when he states the value of the stolen jewellery, Gemma’s ears prick up. Griff is made to look a fool by Roy's statements and as the crowd begins to applaud Roy, he realises he’s lost their support. Gemma follows Howard out of No.5, blocking his car, and asking how he knew the value of the stolen goods. His phone rings with a call from Fern. Griff and his gang look on menacingly as Roy walks away. Craig turns up to take Griff and Reece in for questioning. Max thinks Alya has reported them.
Part Three: Gemma and Chesney refuse to let Howard leave. She rings Dan for help. A livid Max storms into Speed Daal accusing Alya and Daryan speaks up that he made the police report. David hears about the attack on Daryan. In the cafe, Maria, Gary, Roy, Toyah and Brian decide the community centre would be a perfect place to offer help and advice to refugees. Max tells Lauren her father has been arrested. Howard is scared to see Dan when he turns up. Dan threatens violence, scaring the man into submission. Felicity thinks the bedroom is perfect and says she's recommending that Eliza moves in that afternoon. Lauren denies that her father and Griff would hurt anyone. Max tells her how Griff attacked Chris but has to comfort a panicking Lauren. Nick and Leanne offer an angry Debbie £12,000 less than she's asking. Released by the police, Griff meets Spider and tells him that Max gave him an alibi. He warns Spider that it's time he took a more active part in the gang.
Part Four: Gemma, Chesney, Paul and Dan take Howard to a car park where he rings Fern, asking her to meet him there as he has a buyer for the jewellery. Eliza moves into No.6. Stu’s anxious to make a favourable impression. Spider keeps his concerns about the refugee centre to himself. Fern turns up with the jewellery. Almost immediately she realises it's a trap and tries to get away, but Craig and his colleagues turn up to arrest her. Debbie admits to Ronnie that Nick and Leanne’s offer is all that stands between her and bankruptcy. Ronnie offers to make a call on her behalf and Debbie’s intrigued. Eliza asks after her mum. Stu suggests they could visit her together. David reads Max the riot act for skipping school to mix with Griff and demands it stops now. Max slams out of the house. The charges against Bernie are dropped. She thanks Dev for being the only one who never doubted her story. At Griff’s flat, Max shows his film of the meeting which has been edited to make Roy look foolish and the crowd hanging on to Griff's every word. It's uploaded to the web.
