Plot[]
Part One: Seeing the damage to Speed Daal, Stu thinks it's related to his conviction and tells Yasmeen it's even more reason he should find somewhere else to live. Alya wonders if Max was the vandal. Howard admits that Fern has not been in touch. Bernie suggests to Howard and Dev they throw a party to celebrate the fake lottery win and post pictures online to reel Fern in. Max threatens Daryan to keep away from him. Tyrone tells Fiz that the book is at seven on the best-sellers list. They're cheered up by Hope seeming more cheerful. In the cafe, Adam congratulates Dee-Dee on clearing Stu’s name and offers her a job at the solicitors. Dee-Dee accepts, depending on the salary. Debbie tells Ronnie that she’s only had two offers on her hotels and they are way under the asking price. Toyah is puzzled when Spider shows no shocked reaction to the news about Speed Daal. Griff asks Spider to meet him and the lads tonight. Stu worries that the attacks will affect his fostering of Eliza. Alya determines to take action.
Part Two: In the bistro, Howard, Gemma, Paul and Bernie stage a lottery winner’s party. Dev has doubts about the plan. Griff and Lauren give Max a lift to school. Before they set off, Alya tackles Max about the vandalism and receives racist abuse from Griff. Toyah comes into Speed Daal to see if she can offer any help. Yasmeen rebukes Alya when she is rude to Toyah, saying they should not judge her about Imran. Toyah tells them what Peter said about Griff's attitudes. In the school corridor, Hope announces to gossiping classmates that she’ll be doing a reading of the book and signing autographs for £1 per head. Ronnie suggests to Debbie she should sell her share of the bistro to avoid bankruptcy. Alya sees David and Shona in the Rovers and is telling them about Griff when the man himself, drinking in there with his gang, makes his presence known. There is a tense encounter as Alya accuses them before Toyah drags her away. Shona insists that David speaks with Max. Bernie is despondent at the failure of her plan when Howard calls and shares the news that Fern has been in touch and wants to meet him in Freshco's car park. Roy offers his help at cleaning up the restaurant. Stu is viewing a flat. As Bernie waits at the bus stop, a van pulls up, a man jumps out, throws a bag over her head and bundles her into the back of his van. Griff meets Spider and says the Nazirs are not taking the hint and they need to take further action.
Part Three: Yasmeen can't believe that Alya confronted Griff. Toyah assures a questioning Alya that Spider is no longer a friend of Griff. Stu likes the flat. Bernie screams to be let out of the van. The driver parks, puzzled that Fern doesn't sound posh. He removes the bag and recognises Bernie as an old friend from The Dog & Gun and not his intended victim who also ripped him off. Toyah tells Spider she's worked out that Griff must have been the one to vandalise Speed Daal. He tells her he's meeting a mate about a job. In the cafe, Hope shows Sam a copy of the John Stape book and tells him it's made her realise how much she has in common with her dad. Max doesn't answer David's phone calls. David suspects Griff has used Lauren to manipulate his son. Max shows Griff some flyers he's made advertising Griff's environmental talk at the community centre tomorrow. Spider listens on as Griff says how the Speed Daal staff make his blood boil. Dee-Dee realises that Stu has feelings for Yasmeen. Fern meets Howard, saying she wants to give their marriage another go and the money doesn't matter. Dev frantically tries to text the others but drops his phone as Howard tells his wife he needs her help with something. Spider tries to talk Max into getting out of Griff's orbit, but fails.
Part Four: Dan tells Bernie he just wants his money back from Fern. Bernie suddenly realises she's missed Dev's texts. Dee-Dee celebrates taking up Adam's job offer. She asks Alya to be her legal secretary. Max has told Griff what Spider said and he orders Reece to keep an eye on their comrade. Debbie tells Nick that she’s selling her share of the bistro and he’s got a week to make her an offer. Dan and Bernie turn up to discover that Fern has gone. Bernie despairs that she's going to go to jail. Max drops some of the leaflets he has made off at cafe. Prompted by Dee-Dee, Yasmeen tells Stu she doesn't want him to go and invites him to move into her room. They kiss. Daryan leaves at the end of his shift to be greeted by Griff's gang wearing hoods. The follow him into Victoria Gardens and rough him up.
