Plot[]
Part One: Todd thinks Eileen is on drugs when he finds her buying veg for the soup kitchen. Sam decides to see the Northern Lights in Canada instead. Gail suggests he and Audrey stay in one of Stephen's properties to save money. Griff is interested when Peter tells him that Max thinks a refugee stole his place at Weatherfield High. Glenda complains to Daisy about finding cockroaches at her digs. Daisy suggests she takes her room at the Rovers as she's moving in with Daniel today. George admits the truth to Mary when she suggests she writes up Eileen's heavenly experience for The Inexplicable. Eileen mentions to Carla that Peter isn't at work, contradicting what he told Carla earlier. Stephen tries to persuade Sam and Audrey to stick with their original plan of going to Norway. A suspicious Gail asks him if there's something he's not telling them.
Part Two: Stephen convinces Gail that the weather in northern Canada would be too harsh for Audrey and Sam, making up a story about a woman and child who got separated from their tour group and froze to death. Spider, Peter and Griff go to the gig. Peter meets Griff's mates Dave Fairchild, Reece Bolton and Ollie Deacon and learns that they admire him for thumping Henry Thorne. They encourage him to talk about what happened at the open mic slot but he isn't keen. Daniel gives Dee-Dee his room at the shop flat. She pays him a deposit and a month's rent upfront. Jenny is bewildered when Glenda excitedly announces she'll take Daisy's room and heads off to fetch her belongings. Fiz receives a voicemail from a journalist wanting to interview her about John Stape. Stephen admits to Gabrielle that he can't afford to send Audrey and Sam to Canada or Norway. Toyah lets slip to Carla that Peter went to the gig. Peter leaves the club when the band plays racist songs. Spider tries to make out it's no big deal. Todd extracts the truth about Eileen's experience from George and Mary. Griff tells Peter that they support free speech. Peter questions where their fundraising money goes and suggests the police might be interested. Dave picks a fight with him and prepares to bash his head with a rock.
Part Three: Peter walks off in disgust. Fiz finds out from the journalist that someone is writing a book about John. Tyrone thinks it's Phill as he was planning one. Todd thinks Eileen should be told the truth. George wants to keep her in the dark as she's easier to live with. Stephen plans to lose Audrey's passport but can't bring himself to do it after Audrey tells him how happy she is that Sam will always have the memory of seeing the Northern Lights with her. Peter tells Toyah that Griff and his mates are racists. Spider makes out he couldn't make out what the band were singing because of the bad sound system. Fiz goes to see Phill and is assured that he isn't the author. She tells Tyrone that the journalist is serialising the book in the paper. Peter mollifies Carla by telling her that he won't be seeing Griff again. Daniel and Daisy run into each other with their belongings outside No.1. They're horrified to realise that Daniel thinks he's moving into the Rovers and Daisy thinks they're both moving into Daniel's house, and having given their rooms away they're now homeless. Hope tells Sam that "Mad Dog" hasn't messaged her for ages. Peter tells Toyah that the sound system was fine and if Spider isn't calling the lyrics out, he must agree with them.
Part Four: Daniel tells Daisy that they can't live in the house as he needs the rental money. Ken suggests they move into No.1, as Amy and Jacob are away house-sitting. Tracy insists they pay a daily rate to live there. Peter sends Toyah the song lyrics. She's appalled and wonders if Spider is still the man she used to know. Daisy bottles out of demanding back her room at the Rovers from Glenda, who has burned her bridges with her landlord. Daniel's resigned to staying at No.1 as he's already spent Dee-Dee's deposit on things for Bertie. Fiz and Tyrone tell Hope about the book and are surprised by her nonplussed reaction. Gail spills her drink over Eileen in the Rovers but her former enemy laughs it off. Unable to take any more of the new and improved Eileen, Todd reveals to her that her spiritual experience was anything but. Snapping back to her usual self, she throws her drink over Todd. Spider tells his cover officer that he wants out but is ordered to get deeper into Griff's inner circle. Gabrielle leaves to fly back to Milan. Eileen calls Gail a clumsy old bat and demands she clean her coat or replace it. Spider convinces Griff's gang that he's still one of them.
