Plot[]

Part One: In the cold light of day, Stu is satisfied that Charlie's death was an accident and no good would come of telling the police what really happened. Yasmeen doesn't know if she can live with the secret. Bernie announces she's taking an extra job as a cleaner for a high-end agency so that she can contribute more money to the household. Tim arrives home to find Sally doing a disco aerobics workout and gamely joins in. Bridget tells Stu that she's going to turn herself in. He begs her reconsider, telling her Eliza doesn't deserve to lose her mum. Leanne and Nick receive visiting orders from Harvey Gaskell. Leanne thinks it's a sick joke as it's Natasha's anniversary next week. They agree not to respond. Dee-Dee tells Alya that there was additional DNA on the bag which was a partial match for both Stu and Lucy. Alya's shocked to realise that Bridget must be the killer.

Part Two: With their workout over, Sally and Tim enjoy a laugh before indulging in a passionate kiss. Dee-Dee tells Alya that the DNA results will be shared with the police whether they like it or not. Stu looks forward to attending Eliza's school concert, where his granddaughter has a recorder solo. Max blanks David for having him interrogated by the police. Fern tells a disappointed Bernie that the cleaning agency is dodgy and she should steer well clear. She offers to help Bernie check out other agencies and sends her off to get them a takeaway. The police look for Bridget at No.6. Stu lies that she isn't there but she gives herself up and is taken for questioning. Left alone at No.5, Fern swipes Bernie's bank statement from a drawer and a top from Bernie's ironing pile before rushing out of the house. Sally and Tim are elated after having sex for the first time in months. Stu assumes Yasmeen reported Bridget to the police as she and Lucy are the only other people who know the truth. Yasmeen denies the accusation.

Part Three: Alya interrupts Stu and Yasmeen's argument and takes responsibility for setting the police onto Bridget. Sally and Tim head over to the bistro, where Ed invites them to share his and Aggie's table. The police return Max's devices, having determined that he isn't the troll. Max rows with David for having no faith in him. Alya is sorry for upsetting Stu but suggests it's for the best as he won't be branded a murderer anymore. Containing his rage, Stu heads to the police station to find his daughter. Nick tells Sam he's taking him out of school for a week to go on an adventure. Bernie returns to No.5 to find no sign of Fern. Gemma's sceptical that Fern even exists. Tim sends a text to Aggie explaining that he's done the deed with Sally and thanking her for her support. He's mortified when the text actually goes to Sally. Reading it, Sally accuses Tim and Aggie of having an affair. With Ed also pressing the pair for explanation, Tim and Aggie insist that they're just friends. At the station, Stu and Yasmeen discover that Lucy has also been taken in for questioning.

Part Four: Aggie is able to convince Ed that she was just helping Tim through a tough time. At No.4, Sally makes Tim hand over his phone so that she can read the messages between him and Aggie. She's satisfied that there was nothing physical between them but, discovering that Aggie chose his her anniversary gift, she tells him he cheated on her emotionally which is just as bad. Tim is relegated to the spare room. Leanne begins to have second thoughts and admits to Nick that she's a bag of nerves and won't be able to rest until she's found out what Harvey wants. Stu and Yasmeen look after Eliza for the night. They don't tell her why her mother isn't around. Alya goes to stay with Matt rather than cause another row. Stu apologises to Yasmeen for accusing her of calling the police. He can't believe that the day he's been waiting for for so long turned out to be the worst thing that's ever happened to him.
