Plot[]
Part One: Bernie refuses to step in for Evelyn at the charity shop, refusing to accept any responsibility for the loss of Hayley's anorak. Stephen warns Leo to stay out of his business. Aadi is distant with Dev and Asha when they visit him, refusing to give up on Kelly. Gemma arranges a farewell meal at the bistro for Jenny. Teddy Thompkins visits the Rovers and overhears Leo and Daisy discussing Jenny's kiss with Stephen. James is still depressed about his relegation from County's first team. In front of Daisy, Teddy warns Leo he’s mad to chuck his life away on a woman twice his age who can’t be trusted. Unable to put up with his insults about Jenny, Leo orders him out. Whilst being shocked that Kelly wanted Gary dead, Maria worries about where she has gone. Daisy warns Leo to forget his doubts about Jenny and forget the kiss. A tearful Dev visits Gary, demanding assurances that his son is no longer in the firing line and pleads with him to assure Aadi that she has gone and there's nothing between them now. On a mission to prove that Stephen is a liar, Leo meets the estate agent who was booked to value Audrey’s house and hears that it was made by Stephen.
Part Two: Gary goes with Dev to the hospital and tells Aadi that Kelly both wanted a clean break to escape her dad's world for good, and that she supposedly admitted that she lied to him that she loved him. Aadi is heartbroken. Evelyn begins work at the shop where Joy is quietly firm in her management style. Bernie admits she accidentally smashed the first golf trophy Aadi ever won while cleaning, Dev’s had enough and sacks her on the spot. Leo spots Stephen letting Gabrielle into Underworld. He follows them in and makes his way to the outside gantry where he can overhear their conversation in Brewery Lane below. He hears how Stephen is trying to rob Audrey to repay Gabrielle's money. Once she has gone, Leo makes his presence known. DS Beckett asks Gary to accompany her for an interview about the shooting. Stephen confronts Leo on the gantry. There is a fight and Leo is pushed over, falling into one of the bins.
Part Three: Stephen is aghast at his actions when he sees that Leo is dead. He hurriedly closes the bin lid when Sarah comes out. He desperately manages to stammer out an excuse as to why he is there but has to leave the receptacle alone as he follows Sarah back into the factory. DS Beckett makes it clear to Gary that she knows something else has gone on beyond what she has been told and that he's in it up to his neck. Sarah takes Stephen for lunch at the bistro where he is discomforted to see Jenny, Daisy and Rita waiting for Gemma to arrive. James isn't any happier about his possible enforced retirement when Ed and Michael try and cheer him up. Evelyn's had enough of Joy and walks out without an explanation. Jenny's underwhelmed by her present of a photo album. Nearby, a guilty Stephen listens on to their chatter while outside a bin van arrives at the factory.
Part Four: Chesney tries to dump Hope on Evelyn. She loses her temper, tells everyone what she thinks of them, and decides to go travelling. James rings Robert Dover with a decision. Needing money, Bernie contacts Fern Lindon. Stephen is horrified to see the police at the factory. Carla demands to speak to him. James announces he's retiring from the club, though he expects them to make him a financial settlement. Evelyn leaves, saying she's going to visit a friend who lives far away. Stephen is relieved to hear the police are there because the gantry door was open, and it triggered the alarm system. Fern gives Bernie a list of her driving offences for her to attend the speed awareness course in her place. The police admit their car has blocked the road and prevented the factory bin being emptied. Gary is let go. Kieron Edgerton and the heavy are charged while the police trace Kelly who is safe and well. At night, Stephen returns to the bins with a van and takes Leo's body away.
