Plot[]

Part One: Gary and Aadi realise Kelly is missing from the hotel. Turning on her phone tracker, they pursue Kieron in Aadi's car. Stephen stops David from calling the police, saying he deserved the punch. Evelyn marches into the charity shop and pulls the anorak off Joy's back. The coat is ripped in the struggle. Jenny pleads with Leo to forgive her for kissing Stephen. He storms out of the Rovers. The Platts decamp to No.8. Stephen's pleased that the family are too outraged about the punch to probe him about his lies. Audrey shuts David down when he points out the holes in Stephen's story. Gary and Aadi find Kelly's phone discarded in an industrial estate. Kieron and the heavy take Kelly to the roof of a disused mill. Evelyn returns the anorak to Roy. He tells her it isn't Hayley's. Jenny drinks as her Canada dream ebbs away. Roy invites Joy over to the cafe to return her anorak. Evelyn apologises for the misunderstanding and promises to mend the garment. Her offer to do anything to make amends backfires when Roy volunteers her to help out at the short-staffed charity shop. Kieron reveals his plan to make Kelly jump off the roof and plant the gun that killed Gary on her to make it look like murder-suicide.

Part Two: Stephen meets Gabrielle in secret at the factory. Gabrielle tries to record him confessing that he stole money from her company but he discovers the ruse and threatens her. Returning to No.8, Stephen is horrified when Gabrielle follows in his wake. The Platts are thrilled to see her. Kieron forces Kelly onto the ledge. She offers to give them Rick's entire fortune if they let her go, but they refuse to wait until she's eighteen to access it. Aadi and Gary drive around the industrial estate until Gary sees Kieron's van parked outside the mill. Hearing Kelly's cries, Gary races to the roof ordering Aadi to stay put and call the police. The heavy refuses Kieron's order to push Kelly to her death. Gary arrives and offers his life if they spare Kelly. Kieron refuses as he intends to kill them both. As he fires his gun at Kelly, Aadi appears and dives in front, taking the bullet. At that moment, police sirens sound and the gangsters make a run for it.

Part Three: Maria grows worried about Gary's whereabouts. Dev faints when Gary calls him from Aadi's phone and tells him his son has been shot. Stephen squirms as Gabrielle chats with the Platts, knowing she could give him away at any moment. Leo returns to the Rovers and tells Jenny that he only went out to clear his head; Canada is still on. At the hospital, Gary tells Dev that the men were debtors of Rick's who came after Kelly. Dev is furious that his son was caught in the crossfire and blames Gary for getting him involved. Evelyn presents Roy with a homemade birthday cake. Aadi is stable after surgery. His loved ones are relieved to hear that the bullet missed his vital organs. Kelly barges in past Dev when the doctor permits only one visitor. The police catch Kieron and the heavy fleeing the scene. Kelly's in bits as she tells Aadi how sorry she is. He doesn't hold her responsible for what happened. Still hung up on Stephen, Leo asks the estate agent that valued Grasmere Drive to call him, pretending he works for Stephen. Kelly feels unworthy of Aadi's loyalty and tells him she can't be with him anymore as she's toxic. She returns his ring and says goodbye.

Part Four: Kelly returns home to pack. She's hurt to learn that Maria knew Gary killed Rick. Stephen reminds Gabrielle that he needs the Platts on his side. She gives him a month to pay back the money he stole or else she'll tell Audrey everything. Gary assumes the police are on their way but stays behind to explain everything to Kelly. Aadi tells Dev that Kelly has left him. Dev says it's for the best. Gary recounts the events leading up to Rick's death to Kelly, including his threats to Sarah and the kids. He insists he never meant to kill Rick. Kelly doesn't believe him as she's seen how violent he can be. Gary admits that he took her in to feel better about what he'd done but he denies coercing Laura into taking the blame, swearing that she did so in order to give Kelly a future. Kelly reveals that she hasn't shopped him to the police; he saved her life on the roof, so now they're even. She tells him she called off the hit for Liam and Jake's sake, not his, but says she can't stay as she can neither kill him nor forgive him. Afraid she'll turn into Rick if she stays, Kelly leaves the street for good.
