Plot[]

Part One: Craig questions Debbie, Leanne and Nick about the break-in. Debbie blames it on teenagers. George can't go to the dentist as a friend of the family has passed away and his widow wants him to handle the funeral preparations personally. Ryan tells Craig he never saw anything. Sally feels shut out when she has to hear from Carla that Tim had a lucky night at the casino. She tells Faye that Tim clearly doesn't need her. Ryan hands the bag of money to Debbie. Suki Waters from the Gazette arranges an interview with local business owners about their food waste initiative. Stu doesn't want to be involved but Yasmeen insists he'll be there as it was his idea. Jenny looks forward to spending Christmas in Las Vegas when Leo is invited to a friend's wedding. However, when she drops hints about booking flights he doesn't take the bait. Faye presses Tim to show Sally that he cares about her. Debbie is stunned when Ed reveals that the bistro's CCTV is on a separate circuit and won't have been affected by the power cut.

Part Two: Debbie, Leanne, Nick and Ronnie look on as Craig reviews the CCTV footage from the break-in. A clueless Ryan walks in just as they identify him as the perpetrator. Craig arrests Ryan on suspicion of theft after he makes a fumbled attempt to flee. George shows off his premium packages to a potential client. Ronnie is interested in how Ryan knew the code to the safe. Sally is unimpressed when Tim shows up at the factory with a bouquet of flowers. Daisy's concerned about Daniel's lack of initiative. She scoffs when Jenny suggests Leo take him on as a day labourer, but Daniel eagerly takes the job. Tim tells Sally he's been giving her space like she wanted. She says she misses him but they're going round in circles and need time apart. George's client, Troy Soyer, admits that he's a rival undertaker and offers to buy the business. George is furious at the deception and tries to wrestle his notebook from him. As the two men grapple on the cobbles, the widowed Mrs Pugh arrives and witnesses the spectacle. Ronnie puts the pieces together and accuses Debbie of running an insurance scam.

Part Three: Debbie comes clean to Ronnie. Seeing how desperate she is, he takes pity on her and agrees not to tell the police. Ryan is questioned at the police station, answering "no comment" to every question. He's told that the judge would look more positively on him if he returns the money. Jenny is stunned to learn that her lodger is a thief. Alya is equally shocked to hear how low he's sunk. Tim unburdens himself to Aggie at Victoria Gardens. Daniel enjoys his first day as a labourer even though it leaves him with aches and pains. Ryan calls Debbie from the station and begs her to own up to her part in the scam. She tells him there's no point in them both going down for it.

Part Four: Debbie assures Ryan that she has a plan. Suki interviews Yasmeen, Alya, Stu and Dev at Speed Daal. Yasmeen makes sure that Stu gets credited for the scheme. Suki finds Stu's rags to riches story inspiring. Ronnie accuses Debbie of using Ryan as a fall guy and finishes with her. Aggie helps Tim realise that he's not letting himself have sex as he's scared it'll kill him. He excitedly tells Sally, thinking the problem will go away now that he's aware of it. Debbie pays Ed's compensation money. Ronnie tells the Baileys that he split from Debbie as she's too high maintenance. Ryan is released on bail. He tells Debbie he wants compensation for putting up with everyone hating him. She promises him a job when the dust settles. Todd finds out that Rest Easy offered George £400,000 for the undertakers. He thinks he should do a deal but George is adamant that he'll never sell the family business. Jenny kicks Ryan out of the Rovers. Alya shows her disgust towards him.
