Plot[]
Part One: Gary and Maria cover for Kelly's absence, making out to Liam that she's staying with a mate. Tyrone takes the afternoon off work but doesn't say why. Gail books a family meal for Audrey's birthday to cheer her up after Stephen's departure. David reveals that he has his own surprise planned for the occasion. Maria hopes for news of Kelly when she's summoned to the police station but instead Craig informs her that the man who planted a tracker on her has struck again and is now in custody. He's identified as Darren, a council worker. Phill apologises to Fiz for embarrassing her. He gets an idea when she makes an offhand comment about liking men in uniform. Audrey tells Gail she won't be at the meal as celebrating is the last thing she feels like doing. Sean cancels a date with Frank to take Dylan to play in a football match. Gary scrapes together £24,000 and arranges to meet Kieron and Ross to exchange the cash for Kelly.
Part Two: Ed has been dischared from hospital. Fiz is mortified when Phill calls at the factory dressed as Richard Gere from An Officer and a Gentleman. He tries to lift her up but does his back in. Gail suggests to David that if Audrey hears him say sorry, it may change her mind about going to the dinner. Dylan is injured during the match. Frank calls him spineless for not retaliating against the other player and tells him that he'd be ashamed of him if he were his son. Sean overhears his tirade. Kieron and Ross arrive at the meeting point without Kelly. Gary is forced to hand over the money when they threaten to walk away. They refuse to release Kelly until they get the remaining £26,000. Gary watches them drive off.
Part Three: Frank tries to dismiss his diatribe as a pep talk, telling Sean that he's just preparing Dylan for the real world. Sean is appalled to hear a gay man telling a young boy to man up and, realising that George was right about him all along, immediately finishes with him. Fiz helps Phill into A&E. Debbie offers the Baileys £30,000 compensation. They give her two weeks to pay it in a lump sum. Gary bursts into the cellar and frees Kelly, having planted Maria's tracker in the money bag to follow her captors. However, Kieron interrupts the pair and hits Gary with a crowbar. David asks Audrey what he can do for her. She becomes irritated with him when she asks him to put some shades up for her only for him to make excuses not to. Phill admits to Fiz that he's been in denial and promises to sign the annulment forms tomorrow. Kelly manages to jump Kieron when he fails to notice that her bonds have been untied. Feigning unconsciousness, Gary brawls with Kieron allowing Kelly to bash him with the crowbar. She's stunned when Gary tells her to give him the weapon, making it clear that he intends to strike a killing blow. Kelly refuses to do so and they flee before Ross returns.
Part Four: Gail assures Audrey that David is contrite but she's unconvinced. She tells Gail that she just wants everyone to stop arguing. Sean apologises to George for not believing him. Tyrone shows off his new tattoo - a drawing of Fiz - which has been applied over his old one. Fiz notices he's he's mispelled her name 'Fizz' and is amused that he doesn't know tattoos can be removed. A sad Debbie tells Ronnie that she wanted kids but business always got in the way. Back home, Kelly is traumatised after her kidnap ordeal. Fiz and Tyrone look forward to going public with their relationship. Gail persuades Audrey to come to the meal. Kelly asks Gary if he would have killed Kieron if she hadn't intervened. He tells her that the world is better without some people in it. Kelly is scared of him and angry that he would risk it all for a nobody like Kieron. Gary apologises for losing it and assures her that it's never happened before. He asks her not to tell Maria what happened.
