Plot[]
Part One: Toyah envisions looking after Alfie just until Abi sorts herself out but Imran is thinking longer-term. As a test of his honesty, Toyah asks Imran to buy her a book from a shop he says he's going to. Abi returns to work as she needs the money. She's touched when Kevin tells her Alfie is lucky to have her. Summer takes her books along to the cafe when Amy persuades her to come for a quick coffee. Daisy's miffed when Daniel spends the day organising the school trip with Nicky. Imran and Toyah meet with social worker Chloe Pearson to discuss their custody application and are relieved to learn that Elsie's failed adoption won't necessarily count against them. Imran is taken aback when Toyah tells Chloe that they're due to get married.
Part Two: Sarah rehearses Kirk as he prepares to greet new client Mr Geronimo at the factory. The staff are surprised when the guest of honour turns out to be unassuming and eager for his tour. Imran and Toyah are told that, as Imran is Alfie's father, withdrawing the interim care order is just a formality. They agree that Abi must be told but she doesn't see Imran's messages as she's with Alfie in hospital. Imran tells Toyah he can't wait to marry her. Gary, Maria and Kelly arrive at the church for Rick's funeral. Kelly is disappointed by the lack of mourners but Gary is relieved that none of Rick's cronies have shown up. Summer tells Amy how jealous she is that she can eat as much as she wants and not put on weight. The girls accept free bacon sandwiches from Roy to test a new supplier, with some reluctance on Summer's part. Jenny advises Daisy to talk to Nicky to convince herself that she isn't after Daniel. Elliot Newell tells Abi that Imran and Toyah have custody of Alfie. Amy leaves Summer but returns to pick up her phone and is shocked to hear her friend retching in the bathroom. Kelly is upset when a man spits on Rick's coffin and tells her that he hopes her dad rots in hell. Gary thumps him. Abi accuses Imran of plotting to take Alfie off her all along, and Toyah of stealing her baby because she can't have her own. Kevin has to hold her back from attacking them.
Part Three: Summer denies making herself sick but Amy's not convinced, reminding her of the time she caught her with a load of sweets. Summer begs her not to tell Billy and promises it won't happen again. Gary drags the man from the church and threatens to hurt him if he sees him again. The moment is captured by a photographer, lurking in the bushes. Mr Geronimo is more interested in playing box folding games with Kirk than in hammering out an order. Abi decides to drink herself to oblivion as she has nothing to live for. Roy offers to buy her alcohol if she doesn't leave her flat. Kevin takes Abi's side against Imran and Toyah. Kelly doesn't know how to feel about her dad's death. Gary tells her that Rick obviously loved her, whatever kind of man he was. Adam complains to Imran that they've lost a case as a paralegal, Ben Chancellor, told lies about their client. Kelly says a final goodbye to Rick. Alone at the graveside, Gary tells Rick that it's over and he's going to take better care of Kelly than he ever did. Roy brings Abi non-alcoholic cider and a cutting from Seb's memorial garden as he encourages her not to lose hope.
Part Four: Sarah and Carla celebrate landing the Geronimo order. Beth reminds them that they have Kirk to thank and strongarms them into promoting her husband by telling him that they've already offered him one. Carla comes up with the title of 'Extra Office Administrator', which he happily accepts. Amy decides to keep Summer's secret from Billy. Abi tells Elliot that she wants to apply for full custody of Alfie, taking on Imran and Toyah. Kelly goes to see the man who spat on the coffin to apologise for what Rick did to him. Gary and Maria encourage her to forget about it. Daisy gets Nicky to join her for a drink and quizzes her about her feelings for Daniel. Nicky assures her that she isn't a home-wrecker. Gary hires Ed for a job at Rick's house. Maria is puzzled when she gets 27 more followers. Abi tells Imran that she knows his relationship with Toyah is a scam and she'll see him in court. Rattled by her warning, Imran picks up Ben Chancellor's business card and gives him a call.
