Plot[]
Part One: Abi refuses Imran's suggestion that she and Alfie move in with him once he's found somewhere to live. George tells Kelly that a slot is available at the church on Friday for her parents' funeral. Faye shows Craig a fertility app she's downloaded to her phone. Toyah's mortified when Sarah calls her into her office for a chat, having heard about the kiss from Adam. Sarah's sympathetic and advises her to go easy on herself. Billy discovers that Summer fell asleep reading and worries that she's going to burn herself out. Maria tells Toyah and Imran about the morphine incident. Gary's angry when she admits that she might not go to Rick's funeral as she has her reputation to think about. Mrs Crawshaw calls at the cafe and thanks Daniel for agreeing to organise the school trip with Nicky's help. Unaware of Nicky's involvement, Daisy's taken aback. Imran tells Kelly he's sorry he's not been around for her much lately. He's alarmed when she tells him that Abi took the morphine bottle from her.
Part Two: Daniel reassures Daisy that he and Nicky are just friends. Craig confides in Beth that he and Faye are trying for a baby. He admits that he'd rather wait a few years but he can't tell Faye as it would ruin her happiness. Imran calls at Abi's on the pretext of getting another copy of Alfie's birth certificate, but really to look for the bottle of morphine. He finds the empty bottle in the bin. Aadi pays Summer a visit and finds her agitated and antisocial. Billy makes her promise to go for a walk to give her eyes a break. Imran confronts Abi with the bottle and asks her what she did with the contents. She tells him she poured it down the sink. Imran doesn't believe her, as she would have no reason to take the morphine home unless she planned to use it. Beth wastes no time in telling Faye that Craig isn't ready for a baby. Imran tells Toyah that Abi is back on drugs and that he plans to report her to social services. She's taken aback when he says he's applying for sole custody of Alfie and wants her by his side when he does.
Part Three: Imran goes over his plan to get custody of Alfie and raise him with Toyah as a family, saying they'll make better parents than Abi. Toyah is sickened by his attempt to win her back by dangling a baby in front of her. She says she could have been happy without a child, as long as she had him. Craig is furious that Beth has told Faye the truth. Summer tells Billy that she went for a walk in the woods but her lie is exposed when he produces her undirtied walking boots. Daniel receives a visit from Mrs Crawshaw with a thank-you bottle of wine. He realises she's making a pass at him when she suggests they break out the glasses and asks him to call her Orla. When Nicky emerges from the toilet, Mrs Crawshaw leaves, deeply embarrassed. Kelly decides that she wants Rick's funeral on Friday and Laura's on Wednesday. Gary's grateful when Maria promises that she'll be there to support her. Craig tries to tell Faye that Beth got the wrong end of the stick but Faye admits that she doesn't want a baby right now either. They're amused to discover that they each thought the other was more keen. Toyah admits to a shocked Leanne that she's thinking of taking Imran back.
Part Four: Toyah tells Leanne that Imran's plan to raise Alfie makes sense. Leanne is dubious that she'll be able to trust Imran again but offers to support her sister whatever she decides. Billy asks Amy if she'd revise with Summer. She agrees. Daniel worries that Mrs Crawshaw will think that he and Nicky are an item. He's upfront with Daisy about the misunderstanding. Abi gives Imran her test results proving that she's clean. He's unconvinced as the last one is dated yesterday. Craig and Faye get back at Beth by pretending that her meddling has caused them to finish. Craig tells his mum to butt out of their affairs in future. When Imran promises not to let her down again, Toyah tells him she'll have him back.
