Plot[]
Part One: In the Rovers early to take a delivery, Emma is concerned when Jon turns up with flowers for her. He asks if they can spend some time with her at her flat but she makes up an excuse to deter him. Leanne suggests to Toyah that she applies to adopt Elsie on her own. Sam doesn't want to go to a holiday club, preferring to play chess with Roy. Imran has spent the night at the solicitor's office. He tries to put Adam off coming in, now that his suspension has been revoked. Faye has trouble sleeping due to a stronger-than-usual heartbeat. Not knowing that it's for a midwife appointment, Emma finds out that she and Craig are out for the day and phones Jon to come round. Fiz packs a van with her things to move out of No.9. Toyah refuses when Imran asks for another chance. He's shocked by the news of her adoption application. Jon shares his plans to open a bar at Bancoora Beach in Australia. Emma is stunned to realise she visited the same place as a child with her mum. A stressed Summer snaps at Billy when he fusses over her. Emma is shocked when Jon suggests she move to Australia with him.
Part Two: Emma insists it's too soon, but Jon comes up with reasons to make it work. Evelyn realises that Tyrone is still having problems letting Fiz go. Lou tells Toyah that with things so much up in the air, it wouldn't be in Elsie's best interests for her to adopt. Fiz mistakes Tyrone's help in packing for an eagerness on his part for her to be gone. Emma sees Jon off just before Craig and Faye return. Roy finds out from Nick that he was an unwitting participant in letting Sam play chess. He suggests to Nick that the game is an important part of the solution in overcoming the boy's grief. Asha confides in Aadi that she’s concerned about Summer and suspects she's not managing her diabetes properly. Abi's surprised to find Toyah gazing at Alfie in his incubator. Apologising to Tyrone, Fiz confesses to him that she is worried she is making a big mistake. Jon arrives back at the flat, having forgotten his phone, and seeing Craig, is sure that he's met him before.
Part Three: Asked for his name, Craig makes up a false one to cover himself while Faye and Emma desperately try to make up reasons as to why Jon might recognise him. Toyah tells Abi the ways in which she's ruined her life and tells her she's totally unfit to look after any baby. Nick concedes that he's been overprotective of Sam and when Roy reveals that there’s a children’s chess tournament taking place, he agrees to let him take part. Craig and Faye shout at Emma for putting them in danger and insist she breaks off their relationship. Toyah refuses to listen to Abi's assurances that her and Imran's fling was a huge mistake that they both instantly regretted. Craig and Faye can't believe Emma when she says that it might be best for her to be honest with Jon. Faye lets slip that she's pregnant. Fiz says she doesn't want to lose touch with everyone, but Tyrone tells her that she deserves some happiness and moving is the right thing for the girls. Summer is angry with Aadi when he questions her about her blood sugar. Having remembered who Craig is, Jon confronts Emma who tells him they have to finish.
Part Four: Emma refuses to go to Australia. Jon also cancels his plans if it means them being apart. Abi speaks with Imran, both regretting the carnage they've caused. Jon is tearful when Emma lies that she viewed him as just a friend with benefits. Fiz, Phill, Hope and Ruby finish packing and leave the street. Sam's thrilled to hear about the chess tournament, but when he asserts that he'd rather Roy takes him, Nick has to hide his disappointment. Tyrone moves back into No.9, much to Evelyn's pleasure. Toyah breaks the news to Elsie that she's going to be moving on. Beth is delighted to be told she's going to be a grandma. A saddened Emma tells her flatmates that she's dumped Jon and accuses them of not caring.
