Plot[]
Part One: Imran tells Toyah that he's persuaded Elliot Newell to represent Abi free of charge. Nick books Sam into space camp at Manchester's Space Centre in a bid to steer his son away from chess. Sam is strangely disinterested. A loved-up Emma pulls a sickie from work to spend another day with Jon. Billy urges Summer to take a night off revision and join her friends on a night out. Imran and Abi sneak off to register Alfie's birth. Toyah nearly catches a sight of the birth certificate when she bumps into Abi outside the cafe, causing Abi to drop the package containing Alfie's documents. Clocking her strange behaviour, Toyah tells Kevin, who wonders if the package contains drugs. Phill considers returning to an old job that he hated should Tyrone refuse to lower the asking price on No.9. Tyrone hears him and Fiz talking from the garage. Kevin calls on Abi on the pretext of bringing her things over from No.13. While she's in the kitchen, he opens the package and discovers the birth certificate stating that Imran is Alfie's father.
Part Two: Kevin slips out of Abi's flat without being seen. Abi realises what's happened when she sees the opened package on the sofa. She leaves a voicemail for Imran warning him that Kevin knows the truth. Imran doesn't hear it as he's at an adoption meeting with Lou Breslin and a tardy Toyah. Fiz and Phill tell the estate agent that they're keeping No.9's asking price where it is. He's puzzled as Tyrone rang them earlier agreeing to drop the price. Summer decides that she will go out with her friends as she's sick of being the sensible one. Nick reads Sam's record of chess games and is annoyed to discover that he's been playing chess with Roy behind his back. Toyah tells Lou that everything they do is for Elsie. She's agitated as she and Imran are interviewed about their adoption application. At ease and cracking jokes, Imran is stunned when Toyah suddenly reveals that she knows he's Alfie's father and shows him and Lou a photo of the birth certificate Kevin messaged her just before the interview. Toyah tells Lou she can't go ahead with the adoption as she can't risk Imran hurting Elsie with his lies.
Part Three: Lou leaves Imran and Toyah alone to hash it out. Having researched how much alcohol she's allowed with her diabetes, Summer starts knocking back wine in a cafe lock-in. Amy, Asha and Nina worry about her insulin levels. Imran tries to explain himself to Toyah, telling her that the one-night stand he previously confessed to was with Abi, not a random woman. Toyah can't believe that he was stupid enough to have unprotected sex and tells him that if he had enough time to book a hotel room, it was hardly a moment of madness. Toyah realises that he's been spinning lies ever since it happened and pushes him to admit that he refused to let Abi stay with them to protect his dirty secret, and not for Elsie's sake. Imran reveals his determination to keep Alfie out of care and that he paid for Elliot Newell himself. Jon convinces Emma to try indoor skydiving with him. She's swept off her feet. Leanne thinks Nick should let Sam play chess if he wants. A tearful Toyah tells Leanne everything. She admits that part of her wishes she'd kept her mouth shut until Elsie's adoption was signed and sealed. Leanne tells her she did the right thing but Toyah finds little comfort in her words.
Part Four: Kevin finds Imran and Abi commiserating in the Rovers and calls Imran a walking disaster. Emma lies to Faye and Craig that she stayed over with "Martin". They're pleased for her. Phill and Fiz have second thoughts about lowering the price on No.9 when Phill realises he can save them money by starting on the renovations at the new house himself while he isn't working. Billy makes a tipsy Summer check her blood sugar levels when she returns from her night out. She finds that her levels are low. Billy worries about her mental health when Summer comments that the insulin is making her fat. Fiz tells Tyrone that they're moving into the new house next week but are keeping the asking price No.9 where it is. He's gutted to realise they'll be leaving so soon. Abi tells Kevin she still loves him. He says he can't help her anymore as he has to look out for himself and Jack. Imran and Toyah put on a show of togetherness as they enjoy the time they have left with Elsie.
